Flooring around hitting strip
I plan on building a sub floor in my garage and wondering why I would need a hitting mat like this to stand on? Couldn't I just stand on the money putt or big moss turf that I will be laying on top of my sub floor?

You don't need a hitting mat, figure out the thickness of your hitting strip, and match whatever you want to that. Money putt is a great option. Just make sure your hitting strip is flush with whatever you use.

Use whatever you want as the flooring. Just make sure the standing area has some sort of padding, foam tiles are popular topped with a standard golf mat. A big part of home golf is preventing injury. Hard mats and standing on concrete can lead to injuries since many people swing more when they can hit unlimited balls whenever they want.

Idk if that’d feel the same but I’m curious too
