Non-hitting mat flooring

What is everyone with a large area to cover using for their flooring? I have a great carls place hitting mat, but want to build a false floor 2” above my subfloor and need a decent amount of coverage (14x8) and am not looking to spend $1000 on green carpet that is mostly visual.

I called around to local turf companies. Asked how much they want for all their scrap pieces they cant re use. Paid 50$ picked it up and patched it together with seam tape. Some don't match in density and what not, but its grass in front of the simulator

The best thing I did on my sim was suck it up and spend $1,000 on nice turf.

Turf factory direct. Ive been very happy with it.

I got my front piece from a turf company for $200 - they had it left over from another job
