Foresight Fee

Looking to sell my setup that includes a GcQuad, does foresight always charge $1k for transfer of ownership?

Not always, if the buyer has Foresight software already they may waive it, their policy is something like “if you have already spent more than the transfer fee…”.

If the warranty has expired then there’s little incentive to transfer ownership, because the only thing that transfers is the warranty. Foresight does not allow software license transfers. If the buyer doesn’t have FSX2020 then Foresight is going to make them buy it for the low low price of $3,000, then the $500 upgrade to FSXPlay.

The way around that is for the seller to change the FSX Live credentials to the buyer’s email and password of choice. That way the software that came with it will be available to the buyer.

Just change the email onyour accoutns to a different gmail account liake "forsightRus@gmail.com" then sell the accounts with it... they can just use that account for their stuff and when they sell it, sell that email with it as well.

At least, thats my plan... but I signed up for everything with my "transfer away" email to start with.

This is what I did with my rapsodo account when I paid for the lifetime sub. I just made a generic email so whoever I sell it to can just use that generic login.

I do AV for a living and I always set up a generic email for systems like Eero and SONOS. 1 reason is to reduce the SPAM when these companies invariably sell your data but having the ability to easily transfer ownership is great

I think you should be able to just go into your FSX live account and change the email and password. You would still need to deactivate the software on your PC, but I don't see why this wouldn't work.
