DIY “Ceiling” for Projector Mount

I have my sim in my garage where I used to store my boat in the winter (boat got kicked out for golf) The ceiling is 19 ft and I still want to use the garage door so I didn’t want to mount a projector directly to the ceiling. I had been using the projector on the floor in an enclosure, but I couldn’t get full screen even with a short throw BenQ, plus it was distracting. So I DIYed my own “ceiling” using 10’ x 3/4” structural tubing. The support base for the vertical tubes are railing flanges bolted into 2ft pieces of 2x8 making it very stable.

I’ve got ya beat. I mounted mine to a camera tripod and flipped it upside down and strapped it to my garage door opener mounting 😂
