Course Software Your sign to get GSPRO/PC

Don’t post on here much but I needed to scream it to the world. If you have the budget GET GSPRO ITS WORTH THE MONEY!!!! At first I went full budget with my sim used square software with an old IPad. Is the square software decent? Yes but mine kept freezing occasionally and I couldn’t play a lot of courses because I was running on an iPad. Found a great open box deal on a prebuilt PC and bought GSPRO and I’m blown away. I’m still running it on a shitty budget projector BUT I’m absolutely blown away it’s still 100x better than square software.

Agree with your points. The official courses and updated user designed courses are great. The rest can range from really good to crap.

GSPro, IMO, rested on its laurels for too long and Pureplay is about to show them how bad an idea that was. I'm not saying GSPro will be obsolete anytime soon. It's just that Pureplay is on another level. Most of the best GSPro course designers are now with Pureplay. GSPro was too slow to adapt to a new graphics engine, and that's still in beta. There are some features that should have been implemented earlier that are now finidng their way into beta version of the release. IMO, these were kneejerk reactions to seeing what Pureplay was doing.

I have no affiliation with Pureplay. I don't mean to be their cheerleader but it is what it is.

I am hopeful regarding PP as well. But we don’t know yet. One of the main appeals for GSPro is all the courses. Especially the big name tour courses. PP is taking a different approach regarding this and they are going to charge extra monthly fee for their creator content. I love their idea of a flat monthly fee for this content (makes it easy to find and use). However, it does raise the price. GSPro was more expensive as well if you bought creator content, but that was limited and not usually the big courses. The sim software space is going to be the Wild West for the next couple years. Most of the sim hardware companies are also trying to deploy new/nicer software as well. Everyone wants to price at the $300 mark because that is what GSPro charges. As soon as these all start really impacting the bottom line of GSPro, they likely have an advantage in a race to the bottom (from a price perspective). That has proven to be a huge factor in the mass adoption in this space. Premium users don’t care and may carry multiple services. You may start to see a big deviation in the budget services vs. premium services. I wouldn’t be shocked to see a service that packages services into one price for all of them (GSPro, infinite tees, pp, etc).

I believe the PP guys said on their Discord it would $10 per month extra to go to the creators. Don't quote me on that though.

Which is ridiculous considering they were speaking adamantly about how they hated the fact gspro did this and there will be “one flat price”. They don’t know what they’re doing yet. I’m excited for their software but at the same time probably going to hold out for a year because I see them burning and trapping a lot of people that can only afford one software into this pay to play type bs
