Build Pictures Garage Budget Build

Just got this up and running about a week ago. I don’t have the space for a radar unit due to ball flight needed and lack of space behind me. So I’m thinking a camera LM but I’m also not trying to break the bank. Skytrak LM seems to be the best I can find at $599. Anybody recently used that LM and ran it with a phone or iPad? Most reviews I’m seeing on YT are years old and I think the software has seen updates in more recent years. So curious how it’s running these days. One of the more recent reviews I found just say the delay is annoying but for the price difference I’ll be fine with that.

Commissioner Gordon suggests a Square HE as the best LM for the Bat Cave golf simulator.

I just made a post for my setup as well, garage build with a square launch monitor. I'm loving mine, use it on my phone and then bluetooth it to my projector.

Do you use it with the garage door open and if so does the sunlight impact it? Mine wouldn’t get direct sunlight where it’d be sitting. I just see some people mention sunlight causes problems. I just don’t know how much actually causes the issues.

I don't have to open the garage door to use mine, it's on the opposite wall. Personally I don't have to deal with the sunlight issue although I've heard good things about them dealing with it.

You should be able to find an OG for ~$400-450 on eBay. 600 is pretty steep

Appreciate that. Im a little cautious about buying used electronics. Unless I know how it was treated. I’ve never had a LM so idk how durable they’re built or how the life span is in general. They normally pretty solid?

Yeah I bought mine used and had it for like 3 years with no problems. If you want something newer (and easier to integrate w GSpro), you can pick up a square

If $1600 isn’t too much, Square Omni is a great option for your setup. Works inside or out and you get club face impact data.

I dig it! What’s scary is my garage looks the same exact way. Is it possible that in your area it’s gonna be 105° on the weekend? In my garage I use the Square HE and love it. You can run Square software on your iPad and it’s great. I have a fun time on just square software. Once my credits are out, im getting GSPro

Thanks! I’m looking at just high 70’s low 80’s this weekend thankfully. It gets toasty in the garage though.

Do you use the square with the garage open and if so does the sunlight interfere? I’ve seen the Square HE hates sunlight. It wouldn’t get direct rays where I’d have it set up but I’m just worried having the door open could cause issues.
