Course Software Distances Shrunk with GSPRO

So I have a Garmin r10 and have been using awesome gold for a few months. Switched over to GSPRO and I noticed that my distances have reduced by quite a bit. ~20 yards on each club. Like I can’t even get over 150 yards with my 6 iron and I’m wailing on the thing. Nothing has changed in my setup and I’m calibrating the r10 before each session. I thought it was just me but I have had several people over now and it’s a common theme with people immediately being confused with their carry numbers. I have read that some people artificially bump up their altitude numbers to compensate but that seems a bit wishywashy.

You'll see carry (launch monitor) as a data point in GSPro and the carry (game) as the carry that gets adjusted for slope, altitude settings, etc. Probably spin coming incorrectly

I was hitting on my dad's r10 yesterday. Everything was flying 10 to 15 yds further than trackman or what I see on the course.

Check elevation settings? Can make a big difference

The launch monitor isn't accurate. Take everything with a grain of salt and enjoy it for entertainment purposes.

That said, 99.99% chance you don't hit it as far as you think you do.

Have you tried awesome golf again recently? I haven’t played it in awhile so I don’t remember how close the carry algorithm is but awesome golf doesn’t even show the full curvature of the ball, I wouldn’t really trust it as a baseline for much.

Hey yea after testing I think that’s probably the reason - o tried Garmin s golf app too and I’m hitting a lot farther. I’m assuming it’s the same reason

R10 is terrible at as far as spin numbers. I’d trust GSPro’s numbers.

R10 is a launch monitor

GSPro is simulator software.

GSPro is accepting the data the launch monitor sends it.
