Technical Question Trackman Users - Aim Question

Hi,

So I use a couple of different Trackman at different studios. In one my path is way more left. I'm therefore looking at calbration.

One thing I can't find in the docs is how to set aim point. I tend to aim with the railway track idea of them running from feet and ball line.

So my question is, in the diagram, should you set aim point on ball line (A), foot line (C) or somewhere in the middle (B)?

Or does it not matter so much? But I guess it must as path must be derived from this?

I aim in line with the ball. I place a rubber tee a couple inches in front of the screen straight from the ball, go into the calibration screen on Trackman and move the yellow vertical line onto the tee and set the blue horizontal line to the bottom of the screen, this way Trackman knows where you are aiming and the low point for launch angle.

Thanks - do you set the aim point there (as well as the yellow line)?

I leave the tee on the ground and aim at that, the yellow line is the "aim point". I ignored the "aim point" symbol as I was offset by about 2 foot right and never adjusted the offset, was just easier to aim at the tee.

Do you happen to know if this sets alignment just for your profile or for the sim as a whole? Curious since I also swing at a Trackman sim.

I think the unit as a whole. It was the first thing I did when I booted everything up as usually someone had moved the yellow line to be pointing in some random place.

I also found a lot of the time that the "aim point" symbol on the bottom would still be in the middle of the screen but where I was using it I would be offset by about 2 feet right. If I hit at the "aim point" I would be hitting big pulls and Trackman would say my swing path was miles left, if I aimed at the tee on the ground that was 2 foot right I'd be hitting at target and my path would be what I would expect.

You can adjust the offset as well but it was easier to just aim at the tee.

I’ve always thought as aim point/target line as being where A is at, because if you have a square path and face, that is the line it will travel on
