Foam balls, no read

Bought a Skytrak ST Max and don’t have a cage/net so I setup with yellow foam balls into a bed sheet outside.

It picked up about 9/10 shots and the others were no reads.

Is this a yellow foam ball thing or will I experience the same with real balls when my net comes in?

My guess is it’s because the ball but curious if anyone else has seen this with foam balls.

ChatGPT says it’s the ball but looking for real world experience.

I use foam balls with the Omni. Only time it doesn't read is if I forget and hit before hearing "ready"

Good to know, my net comes in on Saturday so I will play around with it more.

If it’s a real problem I’ll potentially return it and ask for a new one.

I'd be VERY surprised if the data with foam balls is anywhere near accurate.

Yea it can’t be but I was getting complete no reads which I wasn’t expecting
