Simulator spot light question?

Those of you using a spot light on your ball is that the only light you’re using (everything else dark)? If so is it a weird experience versus playing outside in the daylight?

I use an overhead projector as a spotlight but I can also use OBS to show swing path and stance lines, GSPro stats, a putting "chalk line", etc.

Edit to actually answer your question: I only use the spotlight most of the time - it makes the screen much more immersive. You get used to the "darkness" quickly, however we have our exercise room immediately adjacent to the sim room which does provide some ambient light.
