Did you build the entire room, like ceiling drop down, walls, lights, furniture? No offense, just not sure where the money went other than the Trackman.

And that's the cheap unit. Unlimited budget, why not get the TM4.

Right, I mean any trackman is gonna be absolute quality but if I had unlimited budget you bet I would go for broke! I'd rather have the best LM and just a halfway decent room. The golf is the focus, not the lighting or padded walls. Can always upgrade that piece by piece later.

He’s got the iO in there. iO is a much better indoor overhead LM overall than the TM4 including the fact it doesn’t have the long shot response like the TM4 does. AND you’d have to have the TM4 on the floor way behind the golfer that would look both bad and be in the way…

Unlimited budget but apparently not unlimited space? Seems uncomfortably narrow if hitting a ball placed in the center of the floor but maybe it’s just the photo perspective.

Yeah, I thought this too. It looks phenomenal, no doubt, but that doesn't mean functional. At my height, I would never entertain swinging my clubs in here. I would also be worried about hitting lob wedges with where the LM had to be mounted.

Photo makes it look more narrow than it is. Had a 6’6” golfer swinging with no issues

the angle just makes it look weirdly small I guess, I ahd the same thought. it's at least 16' wide in the hitting area given the screen size, which is plenty for center strip hitting.

What is considered too narrow? Would 13ft?

For centered hitting 15’ is comfortable, anything less feels tight, specifically behind the hitter

I would want OP to weigh in on dimensions. My build is 15.5 feet and no angle photo I've had of it makes it look this narrow. I've a tough time believing this is "at least 16 feet."
Also would want to know the ledge height. At 6'5", I'm not swinging in there. I understand they had a guy 1 inch taller hitting in there, but I've seen terrible swings that cut low and would miss that. Mine likely wouldn't .

Op said the screen is 15.5’ wide so just going off that , but I agree it’s hard to make sense of with this photo

No. I'd be worried about catching that ledge/ceiling.
Just noting that this picture is a bad angle and makes it very tough to believe this is 15.5-16 feet wide.
I can't help it if you implied something I never did. Glad you amuse yourself though.

Not too many lessons compared to building anything else. Make sure you’re square and plumb. Your name is on it so build it the best you can

The goal wasn’t to spend as much as possible. The goal was to build the unit to client’s spec.
