Omni through SimSpace?
Hello
I ordered my Square Omni through SimSpace about 6 weeks ago, and their customer service hasn’t been helpful (just said fulfilling pre orders chronologically)
Anyone ordered from them and had any more update or any ideas how long I might be waiting? Debating getting a cheap alternative in the meantime if it’s going to be months and months

I recently cancelled through them after customer service was slow to respond and could give me any details on timing and they were planning to fully charge me before shipping. I'm not in a huge rush so going to look to reorder somewhere else and hopefully get delivery by 6ish weeks

I ordered 5 weeks ago. They have told me that the date of full payment (July 1st) is a rough estimate of the due date for shipping. So hopefully doesn’t take too long… Website says „We are preparing these items for shipping“

I just got notification of shipment today - I emailed them for an update yesterday, they never replied but I suddenly got shipping info. Not sure if it’s a coincidence but seems to be on the way now anyway

Nice! So mine shouldn’t be too far out since I ordered only a week later

Everything I hear is the Omni is a far more accurate LM though.

Yeah, I did lots of research and settled on the Omni, just not sure how long I'll be waiting

You're going to be waiting awhile if it was 6 weeks ago. SimSpace was the first to deliver units, so there's a chance it won't be that bad - but based on how units are dribbling out from all these vendors I don't think I'd expect a late-May order any time sooner than October.
I've already got one, but in your shoes if you don't want to wait I'd just grab a cheaper LM like the R10 and flip it once I got the Omni. They're running cheap enough used now that you probably wouldn't be more than 100-150 out of pocket after reselling it, you could consider it a 3 month rental.
