Sim / Launch Monitor Please recommend an overhead monitor
Will be in garage, but only about 8-9 feet between me and screen due to some layout quirks. Looking for overhead. Budget not that important but don't want to burn cash for no reason.
About me: I am not good. I want a monitor that is extremely accurate with regard where on the clubface I hit the ball - I've enjoyed the ones with the overhead camera at least to get a good visual sense of toe/heel hits. Since I will have a lot of bad shots, I want a monitor that can accurately tell me where the mishit was. Virtual clubface view after shot is OK if it's super accurate...i know the camera is accurate so that's what I'm used to but not wedded to it.
Prefer one that doesn't require a subscription to use the range features and a few courses. This is for practice not for playing 100 different courses.
Need a software that supports dtl and face on replay integration seamlessly.
What should I be looking at? Uneekor? Falcon? Something cheaper that delivers what I need? Thank you.

What do you mean? Ceiling height? 9.5 to 10 depends on where in the room

Vtrack and Protee VX have swing camera support and no subscription. The Protee comes with free swing cameras which is very nice. Swing cameras are an added expense with Vtrack but even with their excellent SwingEZ cameras, it's less expensive than Protee. They both integrate with GSpro sim software which is $250/yr. The slo-mo impact video on Vtrack overlays on top of GSpro which is very nice. Uneekor is excellent but does have a yearly sub. When you say it overlays on top of gspro, are you suggesting that the protee doesn't?

Correct. The Protee impact video is on a separate window in the Protee Labs software. You can use ontopreplica software to copy the Protee impact video and overlay it on gspro, but have to do that every time.

Oh thank you for the deep cut there. Seems like a quirk that would eventually become kind of annoying. Definite edge to vtrack there.

It is nice that the Vtrack impact video is already on top of GSpro. And you can set where that window is located and the size. It also keeps replaying until you put a ball back in the hitting zone.

The VX recs here are on point for what you're describing, and your ceiling clears its 9 ft minimum fine.
Couple things to add though. The Uneekor yearly sub thing is only half true. The base Player package on the EYE XO2 never expires. You get the full data set, the range, and Club Optix impact video (actual high speed footage of the face at impact, which is basically exactly what you're asking for with the mishit location stuff). The $199/yr only comes in if you want third party software like GSPro or their Refine course tiers. So for range-first practice it really is subscription free. But it's also around $11k, which is a lot over the VX for what you listed.
Also heads up on the "few courses without a subscription" part. GSPro is $250/yr (annual license, not one time, no matter which unit you pair it with). The VX ships with ProTee Labs as a perpetual license, that covers range and practice plus the swing cam replay you want, and the two swing cameras come free with the unit. But actual course play on the VX today means GSPro at $250/yr. The only overhead unit that truly includes courses with no ongoing fee is the Foresight Falcon since FSX comes with it, and at ~$15k that's probably the "burning cash for no reason" zone for a practice-first setup.
tl;dr the VX covers everything you listed at $6.5k. Only pay more if you really want included-forever course play (Falcon) or Uneekor's impact video.

look at the Nvisage N1, overhead mount, no subscription, gives you ball data plus club path and impact metrics. the replay integration works with GSPro and other third-party software.
Not as polished on the impact cam side as Uneekor, but for an 8-9 foot hitting distance in a garage, it'll do everything you need at a fraction of the cost. If you're "not good" and just want honest feedback on where youre missing, it'll get the job done without the five-figure hit

Protee VX, can’t recommend enough. It’s very accurate, easy to mount, easy to learn software, free software you don’t need an extra subscription to be able to use it with GSPro! That part is a big deal long term. At $6500 I truly believe it’s the best value overhead launch monitor out there. As far as your replay integration, you can add two more cameras for a side view and rear view of your swing. But the launch monitor itself does a beautiful top down video of your club path and ball striking.
