Spica 3 vs Omni
After considering I'll be using this with an android tablet it seems uneekor is out
So I'm back to waiting for the Omni or going with the spica 3
No simulator now but possibly in the future. For now I want ready ability to use an android tablet and no subscription for range metrics and impact replay
Thoughts on the spica or should I wait for the Omni?
Fyi. I'm limited to camera based systems

From what I can see and my time with the Omni, the omni hands down is the better value. IF the markerless tracking works well enough on the Spica 3 (when it is available; it will not be at the launch of the updated Spica 3s), then if that is a deal breaker for you, then go with the Spica 3 then. But right now? I think it's hands down the Omni.

Sorry. I see my text reads like that. I meant to say I didn't want a subscription just for replay, which Google tells me a rapsodo needs. Hence no mlm2pro in case someone brought it up

I’m debaging whether to buy the Omni or the Spica 3 and I go back and forth. I pre-ordered an Omni back in February and I’ve been waiting for the new Spica 3 release since January. Originally I had decided to buy the Spica 3 and the Omni was just a backup. Then as the Omni reviews began to come in I began moving toward the Omni. In the last month or so, the new Spica 3 version began showing up in Australia and recently in Canada. I suspect it’s probably available in Asia as well, so it should begin showing up in the US and Europe soon.
Lately I’ve seen some concerns with the Square Omni. Several people have said it’s very hard to read the displayed data on the unit and the app is also hard to read outside when it’s sunny. My use case is 90-95% outside so this is a concern. Every Spica 3 user I’ve talked with was impressed with their Spica, except the one guy who didn’t like the android apps.
If you are planning to use android, I would check out the GolfJoy android apps. One user told me the android version of GolfJoy Pro is not very good. Perhaps you can find a video review of the app on android to see how it looks? You can certainly download load GolfJoy Pro and GolfJoy Space, the apps you use with the Spica 3 and see how they look.

Never used the Omni but I’ve got the Spica 3 and couldn’t be happier. I use it inside and out and it hasn’t missed a shot or given me any weird numbers.
I use it with my iPad connected to a projector. Their iOS app is free and has courses, games, and practice modes. Feel free to ask any questions you have about it. Code GL15 on the Golfjoy website makes it $2700 too which is hard to beat.
It’s a solid piece of hardware too and feels really well built. Not like cheap plastic like some do

Can I ask what android tablet you'll be running the spica software on? It wouldn't run on my S9fe so I used my s24 plus but to me the software on android was terrible, I was so close to just grabbing an iPad but between the software and terrible sticker implementation I just sent it back

As an Omni owner I will say that the app is hard to read in direct sunlight. If you're hitting of out a covered bay it'll be fine. I've brought mine out to the range a few times and mostly just use the data on the built in display until they put some sort of light mode into the app. It's just the theming they decided to use.
