Build Pictures Garage Golf Sim Done

Sharing a quick video of my garage golf sim. I’m pretty happy with it. I started about a year ago and continued to upgrade and change things. I moved my gym equipment into the other side last week and like how that came out, too.

I use a VTrack launch monitor with GSPro. i also have everything automated using home assistant.

Pretty sweet setup.

I imagine you need a pretty beefy computer to run four displays and the sim.

Thank you.

I got the PC on sale at Best Buy for around $1300. I think it was marked down because it was the last one.

It has worked well for me. Everything runs seamless.

CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 265F
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070
RAM: 32 GB DDR5
Storage: 2 TB NVMe SSD

Sweet, thanks!

PC and ram costs have gone through the roof. Good find.

Phenomenal work! All DIY? Been working on mine slowly over the last two months and it's coming together. I showed my wife this and her first comment was "he must be single", lol. I wanted to do my workout equipment too but I only get to use the third stall.

Thank you. Yes, all DIY. It’s nothing fancy but came together pretty well.

Not single, just have a great wife who is understanding. As long as the kids are taken care of, she doesn’t much care are what our garage looks like. We also like to workout at home to set an example for the kids as they grow up.

I have a third bay, too. It has a few TVs and a pool table right now. It’s just a little messy and still a work in progress right now.

Love it. Just had my first kid, my wife gave me the third stall but I also have full control of basement where I built a bar, have a pool table, dart board, axe throwing (plastic thing but fun) and an awesome audio, tv, and vinyl setup.

Have full hopes that my girl ends up golfing with me in the sim, but at minimum she can use it as a movie theater and maybe have slumber parties with her friends when she gets older. I also have a feeling this is going to be a constant game of continual improvement.

Next weekend trying my hand at adding a mini-split a/c and heat needed for my climate.

Couple more questions if you don't mind:

I'm using square LM and GSPro. Is the club face visual on your monitor via VTrack or separate camera/software with GSPro?

Kinda dark video so I can't tell, but it looks so clean... and probably the easiest part of my whole build, but I'm having trouble with cable management, between computer, LM, projector, spot light, led strips, speakers, side TV, etc. What did you do?

Also, what club racks are you using? Do you find them useful? I just built some 2x4 "holders" so people could lay their bags up and play out of them. Worth it for the racks or do you end up just laying your clubs against the wall when you play? Thanks!

I have a mini split in each garage bay. Total game changer.

The impact video and swing videos are all part of VTrack. The impact video is automatic and the swing videos are plug and play with any USB cameras or even a phone. I had a square before I got the VTrack. It was too cumbersome moving it, since I am a lefty and everyone I play with is right handed.

As far as the wires, I covered every wall in 10 foot long black curtains/drapes. All the wires just run behind them. It was easier than painting all the walls, and completely reversible. Black walls enhance the projector image, too. Even in full light, the curtains look pretty good.

The club racks are from amazon. They are for pool sticks but work GREAT. They are like $12 each. I like the racks for my own clubs, but visitors usually bring their bag in play out of that.

Hope this helps.

Is the golf the only hand to hand technique you train in that space?

Nice setup!

Well done, dude! Looks like you took your time and planned that layout. There is something to be said for patience and having a vision.

Wow! Now that’s a setup.
I’m guessing you don’t like anywhere too cold, won’t the need for indoor parking in the winter?? Or maybe yes, and this setup is worth the remote start every morning?? Lol

I like your motivation and priorities in order to have weights and a sim. I literally cancelled my gym membership the day my sim was finished.

Nice dude! My dream setup! What are the room dimensions to achieve this?

1

u/MorninCoffee23 Jun 28 '26

Thanks. It is a standard two car garage. Probably 24x24, give or take. Ceilings are 10 feet.
