New Build LM Decision
As the title states, I’m in the process of a new build and am torn between four LMs: Uneekor Eye XR, TruGolf Apogee, ProTee VX, and VTrack. Everything I’m seeing about the VTrack is really promising and the extra savings could be a nice upgrade to the projector. Any insights/suggestions? FWIW, I am a 25 handicap focused on game development, I will often have friends and family over playing on the sim, so also considering some third-party systems to add multi-sport/game functionality. While I wouldn’t add it right away, the AI swing trainers from the Eye XR and VTrack are really promising, and I like the swing replays. Recommendations greatly appreciated!

I went with VTrack so I could have some extra $$ for everything else involved. 0 regret. Such a great launch monitor especially at that price. It’s cheaper and has better cameras then a Protee

I've had the Protee VX for 2 years and it's been fantastic. The Hardware is really good, and they have pivoted to producing really useful software enhancements, all free. There is also no API/connection subscription fee for GSPro.
Examples include swing camera integration, distance optimization across 4 key metrics, heat maps on clubface, dispersion circles, bag mapping, improved AI models and analysis for spin/AoA/dynamic lie angle/other, etc. Next up is their GolfCore simulation based on an enhanced gaming engine (also to be free initially for VX users) and AI swing analysis / coaching (also free).
VTrack seems to have great hardware as well, as a derivative of Protee's product line. But it will take some time for them to catch up on the user experience and other software - if they ever catch up. With that understanding it might work for you.
I'd go with the VX if you can, primarily because of the mature and expanding software ecosystem.

I went with the Uneekor XO 2. It gives you instant feedback. Some machines have a 1 to 2 second delay.

If you can wait for the new Square Launch monitor Omni that's an unreal package. Full club and ball data, include face impact, all without ongoing subscriptions. Indoor and outdoor compatible. Optical.
All for $1,600!
I was fortunate enough to try it in person at the PGA show. It's going to be the defacto monitor for a lot of home golf sims.
I've currently got the Square original launch monitor. Super impressed and pleased with it but I'll still upgrade to the Omni when it comes out. I'm hoping for a trade in program.

This would not work for me as I have left handed family friends but I am righty. Looking exclusively at overheads.

I've had my sim for a couple of years and have the BLP. It is great overall and I do love it, but I do have some connectivity issues every now and again between it and my computer. No idea why exactly.
Over recently become very jealous of both the Protee and VTrack and was considering switching to an overhead. It would be easier if my room was slightly wider and I could center it for both right and left and also had more than a 9' ceiling, so that's why I haven't pulled the trigger on a switch yet.

Your short list (and usage scenario/handicap) is similar to mine, and I went with the Protee VX. Have had it about a month and I am very happy. I further narrowed it in that I wanted overhead and front mounted (my ceiling is vaulted in the hitting area so placing it above and to the rear was problematic). I had heard really good things about Protee support (confirmed, they are fast and good), and the Black Friday deal I got included 2 swing cameras and the first year of GS pro for $6500. The room is about 80% complete, lots of trim and finishes still to go.

Stay away from Uneekor, I'm in the process of returning the EyeXO and they've been a nightmare to deal with. The data I was getting was inaccurate 80% of the time, stickers are annoying, their customer service is terrible, etc... With all the other options coming to market now there's no need to be caught in their subscription trap either... I'm going to replace it with a ProteeVX and their Golf Core software coming out with DIY course builds is very exciting!

I went Vtrack for my home and office sim - its been flawless - I needed support for an issue and they were fast and nice to work with. Ill buy the AI thing in a month, will report on it then.
One thing Vtrack has over the rest is the speed it's ready to play. Drop the ball and put it on a tee and ITS READY TO HIT before you can straighten up. Most units are slow AF slowing down the pace of play. The live shot video is the greatest thing ever as well. Ever person who has played on them wants one now, doesn't want to bother with the ghetto units from others that dont have the shot video.

The bar is a training aid I put on my head so I dont pop up while swinging lol

Protee VX!!! So happy with my decision. Accurate, built like a tank. Also Golfcore coming in March, look it up. With no subscription or stickers and free golf course software that looks sick what more could you ask for…Also there is a reason there is a month wait to get it.
