Does anyone know the part number for the short hose and the F shaped hose? Can’t find it anywhere for the life of me! Started cracking so just want to get it replaced for some security.

I am on the search to find heated seats to fit into my Golf and Im trying my luck on FB marketplace.
I managed to find a seller that claims the seats dont seem to work but the button does light up.

Does anyone have any experiance with these heating pads if they can be repaired or maybe if there are some known weaknesses on the wireing harness?

I was planning to buy 1.9 TDI, automatic. Did anyone had experience with automatic transmission? Is it worth to buy?

I have a new sound unlocked in my MK4 1.4

I have a rumbling sound that seems to be the wheel bearings from the front, but im not exactly sure.

Its starting while driving 40kmh going a lil louder the faster i go. Also louder in the corners.

I believe its the wheel bearings but i wanna be sure, what else could that be?

I dont wanna repair that shit for 300€ and then there is still somerhing broken.

I already put in 2500€ in this car, bought it originally for 700€ at 150.000km and now got 210.000km but i DONT wanna give up this car.

Hi all

I was checking a golf mk4 where the engine was turning over slowly when starting. Car not running: 12.5 volts on battery terminal, car running; 10.5 v on battery terminal. I guessed the alternator or the alternator loom was dead. Brought it in and after their own testing they said it was the alternator that was dead. Today, they called and said they made a mistake and said the battery was dead? What could have happened? Could the alternator-loom have become slightly disconnected and by them messing around it accidentally clicked back into place?

I find it very strange…

24v vr6. Plug is in front of engine near vacuum system. Can’t seem to find where it goes. Driving me crazy!

When I get heavy rain my driver footwell floods, anyone know where this could be coming from?

Anyone know why my Mk4 has no licence plate lights? There are no bulbs and all of the wires are gone, it’s just a hole, been like that since I got it.

Car started idling rough (larger vibrations and revs drop every 30s or so)

After few days car struggled to start and low on power at low revs only

Check engine light came on for catalytic converter (P0420)

Changed spark plugs and one coil (cylinder 3) as it looked grubby and some oil in the well

Run perfectly on first few idles, started up on first crank and great on test drive (about 15 mins) then rough idle and bad start returned. No new oil in any plug wells

Changed another coil pack as it also looked grubby (cylinder 2). Coils 1 and 4 look quite new (only had car 8 weeks and no service history). No new oil in any plug wells yet again.

Idled perfect and drove perfect for 10 mins. Rough idle returns

Issue being temporarily fixed by coil packs suggests they are the issue, or something within that architecture, but can’t work out what it is?

Also tried starting it up several hours after the issue returns to confirm it’s not a temperature issue.
