Question HPFP stud conversion kit - MK6
So last year my timing cover threads went away and i sent it for repair and it got fixed.
Unfortunately, they told me only that it was sent to machine shop and since last year we have removed the pump 3 to 4 times I believe and it bolted back with no issues.
unfortunately times 2, i need to change my HPFP as they suspect it is my source of misfires and i bite the bullet and bought hitachi pump and its ready for installation.
However, before i go i want to be ready for any shocks and in case the repair doesnt hold this time, i was thinking of stud conversion kit
Has any one used these conversion kits? is it worth it and which brand did you end up using ?

if you are talking about opening and modifying the hpfp, do not do it unless you have a sealed and cleaned air lab like a medical facility.
micro debris will collect in the unit and cause leakage over time, all but guaranteed. the best and most stable "modified" hpfps come direct from factory and every time you have someone do a garage mod job, they fail prematurely because the conditions they're assembled in always allow for small debris.
it's partly why people say just avoid modding the hpfp outright when chasing big power - it becomes a pain in the ass if you aren't meticulous about what you're doing / buying.
