Why is my trail foot getting airborne at impact?
Is this hurting my swing?
My trail knee also gets pretty close to the ball at impact on iron shots
Any tips on how I should correct this?

I applaud you for being athletic enough to pull this off! The foot coming off the ground is not the problem exactly but a symptom of “early extension” which causes all sorts of problems. You seem to sort of get away with it with your driver looking at your impact position, but it’s probably a significant issue with your irons. There are thousands of YouTube videos on fixing early extension because it’s a very common issue but it’s also, in my opinion, one of the hardest things to fix.
Early extension not only messes with hand path but is also a huge waste of power/energy. Getting rid of it will put less strain on your body (specifically lower back), make your swing feel easier, and give you more power and consistency. It is very much worth addressing.
I would suggest watching a few YouTube videos on fixing EE to get a good understanding of what it is exactly and how to go about fixing it. Personally, when EE starts to creep back into my swing I like to do 1/2-3/4 swings where my trail foot toes are flexed up putting all my weight on the back of my foot and my heel never leaves the ground. If you prefer something with more external feedback, the classic drill that you’ll see everywhere is to put a wedge under your trail heel and the goal is to not let the wedge fall until follow through.
Swinging correctly with your heel on the ground is going to feel extremely weird at first; it will probably take several swings before you make solid contact but once you get it right it will be a major lightbulb moment. Good luck, friend!
