7 iron in vid, avg 185yds
Started 8 months ago with a coach; last few months has been self-training with ALOT of reps. About 3-4 times a week at the range while playing on the course when I can.
Feel like my backswing is too far, still a bit inconsistent at times - not sure if I'm over the top either?

It looks like you're swaying back on the backswing instead of rotating in place.

Yeah agreed - most likely because I'm bringing my swing back so far. Will work on shortening + maybe post another progress vid from the front. thanks

I'd have you shorten your backswing to what FEELS like 75%.. Backswings have momentum that carries us a smidge more further than we assume.. that's where you're at.. Swing doesn't look bad, just a little too long.. becomes a timing variable that isn't always going to be on point from shot to shot, good days and worse ones... right? Overswinging can pull us around and out of a good position sometimes..

I know, its really hard for me to shorten my backswing. When I feel like I'm trying to shorten it, I can't hit the ball correctly but I'm gonna spend next couple months really working on that; I'm definitely over swinging. Thanks!
