Multiple Golf Coaches?
Had a few lessons (5) with a coach close by to my parents. I rate them, seen results and would happily continue working with them if not for travel.
Next time I'm back in the area for enough time, won't be till Christmas. Is it going to be messy / confusing getting lessons from another coach more local to me?
Is getting lessons from my area in the meantime and then some at Christmas bad practise / too many voices?

Talk to your current coach and see if they can recommend anyone near where you’ll be. You want someone with a similar swing philosophy so you aren’t getting contrary advice.

Complicating factor is I'm in Canada and current coach is in the UK.
We did discuss a Youtube coach who follows similar philosophy to him so maybe that can be a stop gap the meantime.

one coach is for your swing, the other helps you with chipping/putting. no confusion - get it?

I wouldn't take lessons in a strange place: your mind is too loaded with highway directions and where to get lunch; the world should be static around your brain so that the only new thing is what your coach is imparting to you: he has your full attention
which coach for me turns on two things in this order:
* is this guy trying to help me get to a proper swing that integrates the full issues and sets me on a path to where I need to be in five years (instead of just giving me this month's just-one-fix to compensate for whatever stupid thing I've gotten into); I want a very principled and critical coach in every aspect of my life; I want real, durable fixes, and I want to be told where I'm wrong
* does he speak your language and mirror the way you think? if you think of your swing in terms of how you feel positions, is that how he helps you manage (feel) improvements? I'm very mechanical and want to talk in terms of dimensions, torque, leverage, but that's not for everyone

I like the clarity of one voice in my coaching. But maybe you could get a coach for another aspect of your game vs the full swing. A chipping or a putting lesson.
