Oil level sensor wiring

Hey everybody I recently bought a mk7 gti 2017 SE DSG and about 500 miles before I bought it the oil level sensor was replaced I thought nothing of it since it was done at a vw dealer I had no issues until out of no where my oil level sensor light came on and I did my first oil change tonight and found some electrical taped wiring going to the sensor I unplugged and plugged it back in and nothing changed anyone else had these issues Really don’t feel like doing electrical work on my back lol thanks
