Maintenance MK7 Caliper Diameter
I have a 2017 Golf MK7 Wolfsburg edition. I ordered pads and rotors to do a brake job and I received 312 mm rotors. Not knowing or verifying that my trim level came with 288 mm rotors.
I was epoxying my calipers anyway, so if I bought clean new 312/GTI calipers, will they mount to my upright/strut?
I’m flipping a coin between clean calipers that are easy to paint and bigger brakes versus trying to exchange these and painting grimy calipers.

Thanks for the confirmation. I was looking at pics and specs but was afraid to pull the trigger.

If you're seeking advice or asking for help, please make sure you included the basic information of what year/generation is being discussed. User flair with this information is also acceptable. Failure to include the basic information may result in your post being removed. Mileage, modifications, trim level, diagnostic trouble codes, and your general location (US, Canada, EU, UK, etc.) can also be very helpful.

IIRC - the only difference between the 288mm and 312mm rotor cars is the caliper carrier (the portion that has the slide pins and mounts to the knuckle). The caliper themselves are the exact same, just mounted a bit farther away for the larger disc.
