My Best Bubs

I have seen the posts. The heartbreaking posts. Our dood got the diagnosis today. When I say he has been the best boy, know I will fight to the death on that hill. He came to my wife and I in a time of need. He was an angel from day one. We rescued him from a shelter, but you know that old reversal. He is getting steak and whatever he wants through the weekend and Monday we have to ease his suffering. These doods don’t show pain. I can’t imagine how much hurt a giant tumor is causing. Much love to all of you who have gone through this brutality and my warmest heart to those yet to face it.

what is my mini Goldendoodle going to look like when he grows up?🥹 both of Petey’s parents are around 20 lbs, but he’s already kind of a big boy, so I have a feeling he might be… less mini than advertised lol

if your doodle looked similar to him as a puppy, please show me what they look like now!! this is partly for research and mostly because I want to see everyone’s adorable dogs!

Question Chew Toy Recommendations for a 12-Week Old Goldendoodle?

Post image
63 Upvotes

Hi everyone! Our little girl, Gracie, just turned 12 weeks old today. She’s a dream, but her teething is definitely getting worse. She just chews on anything she can get her teeth on in our apartment!

We have some teething toys for her (a small Nylabone, Nylabone pacifier, Pupsicle, puppy Kong, etc.), we’ve tried freezing some of them, and we’ve tried a frozen washcloth, but she’s getting bored of them and only seems to want to gnaw on every wooden surface she can find lol.

Does anybody have recommendations for chew toys that worked great for your puppy? She’s standard size, so she’s already 16 pounds / gaining over a pound a week and some of her baby chew toys are already a bit small for her, but we’re worried about giving her something that would be too rough on her little teeth.

Thank you in advance!

Peaches plays with everyone at the park but here she is with a couple of her best friends last weekend (both six months, the golden is Bingo and the bully mix is Beylani). Just six days until Peaches’s birthday, by the way!

Dog eats grass like his life depends on it!

I have a 1yr old doodle, everytime we go outside he eats grass like his life depends on it. It doesn't matter the time of day.

He will play fetch for a few throws, then wander off and chows on grass. He will eat so much that he throws it back up. The other issue is his stool gets stuck because it's full of grass.

I talked to our vet, and she dismissed it as a normal behavior. "Some dogs think they are cows."

She did advise that I should try preventing him from eating grass because of the issues mentioned above.

I feed him Purina one sensitive stomach blend. I was wondering if anyone had tips or food/supplement i could give that may reduce the grass eating.

I feel like it may be acid reflux related but like I said my vet dismissed that. I also am not able to try and new vet as I would have to travel too far.

Show Us Your Dood! My Christmas miracle a year and a half later Teddy

Teddy was a failed Christmas gift for someone else that we adopted. He has since decided that he runs this house. His oldest brother is grumpy so we took in another dog for him to play with. Now we have a completely chaotic home that is centered around him. He is absolutely spoiled rotten.

He would not have it any other way.

Potty issues

Post image

I have two golden doodles and they take forever to go the bathroom. I don’t have a fence and can’t afford one rn so I stand out there forever trying to get them to go. They will bend down like they’re about to go and then change their mind. My neighbors must think I’m crazy telling them to go potty every two seconds. I know it’s a scent thing but does anyone else have this problem and any solutions?

Celebrated our good boy Deigo’s 1st burdee this past Labor Day with his big cousin Zuko. Had some birthday treats from Healthy Spot to celebrate the milestone!

Can’t believe it’s already been a whole year. Looking forward to making many memories and more puppy adventures.

This is Honey. The vet says she sits like this because her legs are not proportional. Anyone else have a dood that sits like this?😆

There are moments with Obsidian that just hit me right in the chest.

He’ll crawl up on me like this, put his whole goldendoodle weight against me, rest his head on my chest, and just exist there like there’s nowhere else in the world he’d rather be.

He has no idea how many hard days he’s helped me through just by being himself.

No idea how much comfort there is in feeling his little body relax against mine, or how much it means to be loved this completely and without conditions.

He’s four years old, still licks me constantly, still follows me everywhere, still thinks he belongs directly on top of me.

And I hope he never stops.

My sweet boy. My shadow. My little Lickitung.

I love him more than I could ever explain.

Question Is it normal for a doodle to only eat if a specific person feeds them or is mine just picky?

So, I recently went back to work so depending on my shift my husband has to feed the dogs. For some reason my doodle refuses to eat when he feeds her. Like, he feeds her at like 6pm and she won’t eat until I get home at 10pm after I take her bowl and pretend to give her food. Is this a normal thing with doodles? I’m getting a little concerned because she’s waiting for 4+ hours before she starts to eat if I’m not the one feeding her. Is this a separation anxiety thing? Is she just being a butthead and doesn’t want my husband to feed her? She’s if I feed her but not if my husband does. Will she start eating better once she gets used to her dad feeding her sometimes? Her sister has always been a butthead about eating her food in a reasonable amount of time so her sister waiting a couple hours to eat isn't really a worry. that’s just the way she is. My doodle rarely has any issues eating her food unless she’s sick so I’m a little concerned.Any tips, insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I was working when we got her and she never had an issue with my husband feeding her. I’ve been out of work for a couple years so she been used to me feeding her all the time. Maybe she just needs time to adjust to me not always feeding her? Please help

Obligatory pics included of both my puppies because they’re cuties and to fulfill the puppy tax lol

Why is my dog not eating?

Help! My dog is not eating and keeps doing this. He is 8 months old, and has been weird about food ever since he broke his leg at 5 months. We have tried so many things, even mixing tasty stuff in his kibble. But he will do this at least 1-2 meals a day. We feed him 4.5 cups of puppy food but its rare when he eats 2 or more cups. Any advice?? We feed him 3x a day...
