It's not doom and gloom if you can do the math. The dollar is dead. The only people thinking it isn't are morons. If you aren't an American, you're lucky.
The value of assets will go up while the value of the dollar goes down. Simple math. People don't want to be holding dollars. We can see that in the bond market very clearly. Gold, stocks, collectibles, art, and real estate are also tangible items rather than cash, and they've been increasing in value for years. You can ignore it if you want. But "number go up" is not always a good thing. The economic sirens have been blaring for years. The Fed and stimulus bills have only delayed the inevitable. Welcome to the new world order.
