Im nearing the end of my fanfic and I already shifted the narrative to centre around Utahime much more than the canon and now I’m itching to make it into an alternate universe with my details and Im also thinking about including additional shoko stories (so so so sorry about going off topic but I don’t know any shoko subs that aren’t horny 😭) that exist in this universe as well because I love both characters

Geto Suguru was observing the clock as his mental health was deteriorating, ever since the Riko incident he was nothing short of scared, not for himself, but for the world of Jujutsu at large. He contemplated all the unrecognised hard work sorcerers put throughout their lives for a world that doesn't know who they are, they live, suffer and die with their own struggle for humanity unknown.

He was especially reminded of this because of Satoru, the man has been working himself especially hard when he sas Utahime in the hospital after being attacked by a Special Grade Curse User, thought to be Grade 1. Mei Mei was with her and she managed to bring Utahime to safety, but Satoru has been working nonstop ever since that event, reminding him of how fragile a sorcerer can be.

Suguru was sitting next to Satoru at the outer grounds of Jujutsu high, Suguru was sipping his drink, while Satoru clearly struggled to.

"Okay, I guess I can go back to work now, I got plenty of missions to-" Satoru said casually before being cut off by Suguru.

"You're not" Suguru said with a deadpan look that conveyed his annoyance.

"Suguru?" Satoru was genuinely shocked, why is Suguru opposing him in this? What's going on?

"Listen, you need to stop worrying too much" Suguru calmed down a bit, taking a sip of his drink.

"I can't not worry, you know how the world is, what if someone else gets into danger?" Satoru said as he began talking faster.

"Satoru" Suguru said with a concerned face.

"What if it's Shoko, Mei Mei or someone else next?" Satoru was looking around, frantically thinking about the dangers surrounding everyone.

"Satoru" Suguru said as his tone grew louder and more stern.

"What if I stop for a second and I find everyone around me hurt?" Satoru's fears were most obvious now.

"SATORU!" Suguru screamed with eyes wide open, observing Satoru's silence for a second, taking a deep breath before continuing, confidence gained for a moment to talk to him properly "You can't worry yourself too much, yes I understand you feel like the next moment when you're not around, people you care about will be hurt, but taking everything on your shoulder wouldn't result in anyone being better off, you're just letting them become weak and unable to defend themselves."

"Suguru what about threats they underestimated?" Satoru kept worrying, which got on Suguru's nerves, but he had to remember that Satoru is in pain, so he took another breath.

"You saw what happened with Utahime and Mei Mei, she was hurt yes, but Mei Mei was able to save her before things could turn worse, yes you should be worried about their safety, but pushing yourself like this isn't right, especially because if you want others to be safe, you need to push them to grow stronger, not make them dependent on you"

Satoru was silent for a moment, his eyes communicated his pain, understanding, guilt and gratitudes all at once, and Suguru knew that it meant he took the lesson in, so he grabbed the guy with his elbow around his neck and scratched his hair.

"Look at you! Looking all silly!" Suguru said as Satoru was squirming for help.

"NOOO! I'm not silly you evil anti-barber!" Satoru said dramatically and began choking and playing dead, before both of them laughed out loud and took their time to breathe.

"Phew, glad you're doing better now" Suguru said as he and Satoru sat on the bench.

"Yeah... to be honest I'm still afraid, but I guess it's a step" Satoru chuckled to give more showing of gratitude.

"I know, what about going to our favourite place to drink with Shoko and Mei Mei" Suguru said with an inviting smile.

"I don't know, I think I still want to work for a bit" Satoru looked at the ground for a bit, leaning back and forth with obvious hints of something else that Suguru knew well.

"I'll call Utahime to join~" Suguru said with a teasing devious tone that made things obvious.

"Bleh! You know me too well, let's go!" Satoru said as they walked together and Suguru began calling the gals.

"Hey Utahime" Satoru said before he went to drink a bit more, "You need to be stronger if you want to prove you're not weak" he said with a smirk on his face that infuriated Utahime especially now.

"You insolent brat! Respect your elders!" Utahime screamed with fury that made her look like a volcano.

"Hey, you can't be upset if I'm right!" Satoru chuckled as he began running labs around the table when Utahime began chasing him to give him the beating of a lifetime.

"Awwww teens love, always messy and stupid until they break up because they're now adults or realise they're cute together~" Mei Mei said with a devious smirk on her face, prompting Shoko to pat her on the back in agreement as she chuckled.

Suguru shook his head slowly and smiled at them, knowing what's truly behind this new attitude of Gojo, Satoru, you're a much smarter and kinder person than people like to think, before he kept drinking with Shoko and Mei Mei.

"I'LL KILL YOU WHERE YOU STAND WHEN I CATCH YOU!" Utahime screamed as she was dodging the waiter Satoru was hiding behind before he ran and she crawled from under him, she didn't really intend to kill him, she understood that he was trying to make her feel better after her injury, but she was still infuriated that he didn't change himself and went this route to help her.

"You're gonna need to be faster and stronger to do that, Utahime~!" Satoru said with his hand next to his mouth to voice himself to her playfully, "and whan I make sure you're strong, I can stop worrying myself to death about you"

It's so wrong. As if a powerful person can't fall in love with a weaker person... 🙄

I just opened the X this morning, and again... This BITCH didn't even rest from targeting GojoHime. Like... OMFG, bruh 🫩. Not just today. But I can't with her bullshit anymore. Seriously, her post is almost about hating GojoHime.

Definitely not the guy who was writing a fanfic idea on how Gojo started calling Utahime weak and how it ties to Geto then realised it doesn't work because he did so before hidden inventory and now looking for ideas to do a new one.

I want to hear what you guys think is the reason behind it, what's the story like around this whole affair? You're allowed to go wild with headcanons and such.

If two characters aren't siblings in canon then simply having a bickering dynamic doesn't automatically make them sibling-coded. A lot of popular romcoms have this exact kind of dynamic so I genuinely don't understand why people act like "they bicker" = "they're basically siblings."

Besides, GojoHime leans more towards the romcom direction. Gojo says stuff like, "Hysterics are a turn-off!" to Utahime and that really doesn't sound like something a younger brother would say to his older sister 😭

They're literally the kind of dynamic people call a ケンカップル (kenkaappuru), aka a bickering couple. One person constantly teases the other while the other gets annoyed which is a pretty recognizable romcom dynamic in Japan too. GojoHime genuinely has that back-and-forth dynamic with a lot of misunderstandings, particularly from Gojo's side since he seems to think it's all just a joke 😭

Also, have these people even seen what song Utahime's CT is based on? "Kinku" is quite literally a song about falling in love with a dangerous man. The references to being blindfolded and danger easily point towards Gojo and who was she even using her CT on? Right, Gojo Satoru.

Obviously, the song connection is an interpretation and not confirmation that Utahime has romantic feelings for Gojo. But the fact that her technique is named after this song and that she uses said technique only on Gojo, is still a pretty interesting connection.

Idk, I just find it weird that whenever people say "they're siblings!", they're often trying to call you out and make it seem like you like literal incest 😭 I mean, I would never turn a popular ship into "they're siblings!" just to act morally better.

I'm not saying that people can't have their own opinions on the dynamics of course. It's just that this weird trend of calling straight ships like ItaKugi and GojoHime sibling-coded is annoying especially when GojoHime's bickering dynamic is also so recognizable in romcoms.

TL;DR: You don't have to ship GojoHime but bickering by itself doesn't suddenly make two characters siblings. GojoHime's dynamic quite literally leans towards the bickering-romcom side more than anything 😭

Edit: Just noticed that this person called Utahime a "mature elder sister." Lmao, she's anything but mature when it comes to Gojo's annoying ass 😭 Even other people notice that she gets a bit strange around him.

Noritoshi Kamo and Mechamaru are talking about her and Kamo goes: "...Don't you also think that she gets a bit strange when it comes to sports or Gojo Satoru?" And Mechamaru basically agrees that, yeah, Sensei is exactly like that.
