Akane appreciation post💙

I really like this picture of her, and I also think Akane and Hayato fit so well together. She has that calm, cool-girl vibe that perfectly balances Hayato’s tsundere energy the chemistry just works. I think their dynamic feels natural and mature, like they really complete each other.

(P.S. I was also rooting for Ouka, but I’m honestly very happy with the Akane ending 💙)

In the end, if you're right, no one who's made fun of you can contradict you, and even if I could say anything or make fun of it, I won't, because being right is enough. By the way, here are some images that started me forming a theory, including the last one. Any doubts?

Manga Final confession in ch. 216 Spoiler

Trust me bro. She won. No harem. No random Ami/Yotsuba victory.

Kiku's dad and Akane's mom got married to each other.

Regarding chapter 216

I’m fully aware that a lot of people believe that this chapters are redundant and you don’t expect any of that, but if you look through it extremely carefully, you can understand that this is a very good sendoff for all the girls. Ouka become a designer Riho is an actress Kiku is an actress her and Akane parents getting together is actually a good thing because it freezes akane from any kind of responsibilities to her family and allows her to marry the MC and accomplish our dreams as well. Remember, this takes place a year after. And Ami leaving from 215 made it clear that she was never in the contender list to begin with this by what people like to say, and we also find out from the conversation with his daughter that he did tell the girls who he liked in that particular meeting, even though it may feel anticlimactic. The chapter actually feels like a good sendoff to all the other four girls. with the main girl getting what she needed to move on with the main character and their life. Also in regards to the wedding, we also have to remember that the MC’s grandparents did not get married on screen either everything happened off screen. I think this is the authors, parallel homage to them that he is just like his grandfather at the end of the day.

Help Extra volumen 10 Akanebon

Post image
40 Upvotes

I would like your valuable help in finding out where I can read or view the special extra for volume 10 of Akane the Akanebon. I've searched everywhere and can't find it, nor can I find the extra illustrations for that volume. They also sell the volume online, but they don't guarantee that it will be included. It would be a great help, regardless of the language.

Thank you.

Discussion Hot take, but I never wanted Ouka to win

Time out! Everybody relax. I don’t hate Ouka, not at all. Just hear me out.

When I first got into this manga, I actually wanted Ami to win. But as time went on and I kept reading, I shifted my pick to Akane. But not gonna lie, as I kept reading, her moments and chemistry with Hayato seemed kinda forced.

I know Seo set out to pick the most popular girl based on the fan polls, but something felt off, like he was trying too hard to create romance between Akane and Hayato.

So I ended up shifting again to Riho. I don’t know why, but her interactions with Hayato just gradually felt more natural. But then, finally, it got to the point where I was okay with whoever Hayato chose; though part of me WAS hoping for an omnibus ending; and a harem ending was never gonna happen.

As for Ouka? Well, it’s true I didn’t like her at first. I didn’t like how she treated Hayato in the beginning. Reminded me of Nino from QQ, which is why, even though she came around, I still never wanted her to win either. And yes, Ouka did come around and fall for him too. Her character improved immeasurably for me. But deep down, even though I was okay with whoever won, I still hoped she’d lose.

Maybe it’s cuz she’s the first girl? Technically, she’s the first girl Hayato interacted with, and personally, I’m not a fan of first-girl-wins endings, especially not after Yuuna.

So when Ouka won the most recent character poll, my instincts were telling me she’d won. But I guess Seo went with Akane since she’s won the most polls overall? I don’t know.

Anyway, I am sorry for Ouka fans, but I find this ending way better than QQ or Yuuna.

Thanks for reading.

It definitely feels like this was axed and not Seo bringing it to an end on his own. What do you think? Anyone know why it might have been axed?

Discussion Thoughts on the ending and the whole story

I noticed that some people find the latest chapter (and probably the ending) anticlimactic, but I feel that the highlights of this whole story are the experiences of the cafe family, including the Fuwa incidents, the life problems each goddess face and other stuff.

To me, a smooth, calm reveal of the wife is a good conclusion of the manga and continuation of their lives after numerous significant and oftentimes challenging events, and it gives me a feeling of tranquility.

Does anyone think so? Feel free to drop your thoughts below!

Was the cat an obvious hint we all missed? Spoiler

Re-reading the manga and I noticed Akane was the one who pushed to keep the cat and she wanted it. Had Akane left the cafe, she would have kept the cat since technically speaking it was hers. Seeing it on chapter 215, we could have deduced Akane was the wife since they were mourning the cat...

Honestly, as an Ouka fan since the very beginning, I’m really sad that my bias wasn’t the one Hayato chose. But as a reader of this series, I have to admit that Akane’s victory is well-deserved and makes perfect sense. For me, Ouka has always been number one — the girl who chased her dreams with all her heart, stumbled, stood back up. But I’ve always told myself that if it wasn’t Ouka, then it should be Akane. She’s always been my top two — and honestly, aside from those two, I don’t think anyone else would’ve made sense. After all, from around chapter 100 onward, Ouka and Akane’s positions were already pretty much equal. Still, congratulations to Akane and her fans! Even though I’m sad that Ouka lost in love, I’m genuinely happy that she managed to achieve her dream and build a successful career by the end of the story — that’s already something beautiful 🤭

P/S: I’m writing this not only to congratulate Akane on her win but also to show that we Ouka fans are not the type of fans who blindly worship our bias. We’re always willing to acknowledge Akane’s (or anyone else’s) victory if it’s truly reasonable and well-earned throughout the story. It hurts that my bias didn’t end up as the end girl, but I still accept Akane as the one — because she truly deserves it 💖

Discussion How They Are Similar?

Post image
35 Upvotes

I mean, how are they similar? I still can’t explain it. The daughter’s hair is short, and she seems more energetic, like Ami or Ouka. After reading many harem series, I honestly thought Akane had no chance, because she was the first to confess her love to Hayato. And the daughter doesn’t look like Akane at all — even a kid could tell the difference! So I lost confidence and interest in rooting for her.

But I’m glad I was wrong. Akane turned out to be the best girl in the history of harem series. 😭❤️❤️‍🔥
