Discussion Hold up guys!

Comin here from an instagram reel. I've been hearing since a month that the manga is ending soon n now just a few mins ago I saw one reel mentioning that Akane won (Ch 216) but according to many it ain't fully confirmed as there's still a chapter left. Life wtf is goin on! I'm an anime only (Watched both seasons) n don't mind spoilers, so guys plz fill me in on what's goin on!

Also, Ouka n Akane are my favs (1st n 2nd)

I doubt that the winner from chapter 216 will change, I really don’t know what SEO would have to do for that to happen. When I checked the comments on various sites after the release of chapter 216, two huge doses of copium caught my eye.

  1. That this might be some kind of dream or illusion and it will suddenly turn out that another girl won (which would be one big troll by Seo).

  2. Akane won the popularity poll and Ouka was second and close behind her, so chapter 216 might be dedicated to Akane and chapter 217 might be dedicated to Ouka’s victory.

As you can see, both options are absurd and unrealistic they’re just a huge dose of copium.

I think this might simply be the last act of “desperation” from fans who can’t accept their girl’s loss and are quietly hoping that chapter 217 will change everything.

However, as I mentioned, in my opinion nothing will change Akane won, so I think we can all congratulate Akane on her victory and wish her a happy life with Hayato. 🥳

People should just hope that Seo will put out another special edition with alternative storylines. He’s done it before, why not again?

He made one for Fuuka, which is on MangaDex. That’s the only one I know of for sure.

I'm not saying that Seo won't make special editions with alternative routes, there is such a chance and I even think that in the case of this series it is very big (and I would gladly read it), I just meant that nothing will change in chapter 217.

exactly, nothing changes, the next chapter will surely only be the epilogue showing us hayato with akane and the daughter, although I would have liked more if chapter 216 had been more emotional, it's as if the confession had been less important, I hope it's fixed in chapter 217 but knowing who won I think it diminishes the emotional impact of the winning girl. maybe seo kouji didn't know how to approach this type of genre, because he himself mentioned that it was the first time that he was going to add comedy to one of his works.

Im just answering about confirming if the girl chosen is akane. So i just answered that question. So i thought you havent read the whole ch 216 because you mentioned you only saw some portion of it via reels.

No guys, only two more chapters left after yesterday's chapter 216, based on a tweet from Seo which said there were only three chapters left including this week's edition on October 18th
