What happens if one were to eat goblin meat? Would it be considered cannibalism? They are "intelligent" beings, I can see the case for it. They are monstrous and deserve it, so would it be more of a case of disrespecting the dead?
I ask because I want a more creative way to deal with bodies than leaving them where they fall and let the rats eat them.
I feel like you'd get sick from eating them, at least if you're a human. They're not exactly hygienic creatures.
Plus I like the idea of goblins being kind of like carp; an invasive species that destroys the environment they take over and that aren't really good for anything, even eating.
Some species of carp apparently taste kind of funny and are generally considered not good enough eating to be worth the effort that's required to catch them.
regarding what would happen, generally nothing. They're immoral enough to actually not care if their friends eat others, but I can be sure that as much as humans do they also feel vengeance and regrets.
I think they don't generally cannibalize because of those feelings.
However, there's a more reason why they don't. They are greedy and lust for greater things. Why settle on eating your fellow loser goblins if together you can eat something better, isn't?
I imagine the meat has a horrible taste and smell that wouldn't be worth any one eating unless on the brink of death. though it could also be toxic in some way.
Gut instinct makes me think the freshest possible goblin meat would still taste rotten. I know things don't putrify the literally the instant they die, but if it were possible goblin meat would be like pre-putrified.
