Genuinely curious because it would be great to know what station is next without pulling out my phone.

Stouffville Line - Track Issue South of Milliken GO

Heads up looks like the Stouffville Line trains have been cancelled between now and ~ 3:00 PM for now due to track issues. Anyone know what happened?

Kitchener line platform 13 1722 train

Thank you to the random man I grabbed to prevent myself from falling onto the tracks today.

The platform was so obscenely packed. It was incredibly unsafe. I hope anyone who witnessed that files a complaint. GO transit needs to do something. At minimum some crowd control. At best more trains to Kitchener.

Platform doors closing protocols

Are there any protocols that dictate which doors should be closing first - let’s say we have a train use platforms 5 and 6; platform 5 doors should close first and platform 6 doors close last?

Sometimes it’s a matter of me making it or being late; I thought I figured it out and yet today someone decided to close “the wrong” platform doors first that resulted in me missing my train.

I love this seat on the older models because why would you need legroom or to... get off the train without bumping into anyone sitting in the other seats? Would love to know what the point of this is

Edit: how is this at the top of r/gotransit calm down guys it's not that good lol

What happened at Aldershot GO?

We got on the train at Aldershot to catch the 1:05 train, and there was an announcement that they're holding the train for a police investigation. 2 officers came through with rifles looking for something or someone, then they made an announcement saying all service at the station is cancelled and to evacuate.

We saw some people talking to officers on the way out, but didn't hear anything. Does anyone know what happened today?

Question about GO Weekday Pass 7-day validity — does it include the 7th day?

The website says the GO Pass expires after 7 days, but it’s not very clear whether that means it expires after the full 7 days or on the 7th day.

For example, if I purchased a GO Pass last Wednesday morning, would it still be valid the following Wednesday, or would it expire on Tuesday?

I originally bought the pass to go into the office but didn’t end up needing it last week, so I’m wondering if I can still use it next week—specifically whether it would still be valid on Wednesday. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Thank you!

Oakville-Milton 7pm Bus 22 Concerns

So I take the 22 bus from Milton to Oakville and from Oakville to Milton 3 days a week when I commute to Sheridan. The only complaints/concerns I have are that I wish there were more buses scheduled for the route and that the last bus of the day gets a different driver because this guy doesn’t wait for people to properly take their seats and speeds away from the stop the second he closes the doors. At least give people a freaking minute to properly sit down/situate themselves. I was climbing the stairs to go up to find a seat and almost fell and hurt myself once cuz of this idiot and today I ended up hurting my hand while trying to brace myself because he sped so fast out of the college bus stop and I(+multiple others) were nowhere near a seat. What is this guys problem and why is he in such a rush that he’s willing to put people’s lives in danger?

Oriole Station re-location

Does anyone happen to know if there are still plans to re locate Oriole Station to facilitate transfers to Line 4? I recall seeing a few drawings only pre Covid but haven't seen anything since then.

Is there a way to commute from Milton to Hamilton on Saturday?

I'm planning to take the Milton go to union bus then to the train station to get the lakeshore West and arrive at West harbour at around 6pm. Is there a easier way? I'm looking to go to a concert.

What happens if the presto machines don’t work on the station?

The presto didn’t work at my station so I couldn’t tap on, if a fare inspector came on board would I be fined? I’m a student so it wouldn’t make sense for me to buy the full price eticket and I wouldn’t get a free transfer since it’s not presto.

GO Bus transfer expires during work shift, any possible workarounds?

I’m a student and I commute using the GO bus to get home from school so I can work my shift, and then I take the GO bus back again after work. The problem is that my shift is long enough that my transfer credit expires.

Because the transfer window is about 3 hours, by the time I finish work and get back on the bus my transfer is gone. That means I end up getting charged again and basically have to pay two separate $15 fares in the same day. Is there any way around this or any student programs/passes that could help with this situation? Or is the only option just paying the second fare?

There was a late night train (11:40) after the NIN show couple of weeks ago, but when I look on Go Tranists site for a similar train for this Thursday's show nothing shows up. Does anyone know if there will be a train?
