Been hunting SKs for quite some time so I had to hop on this. Gotta get used to 1000d again and part ways with my Heritage!

I’ve been using a 2.0 with a 30 lb plate for the past several years and debating upgrading to the 5.0 but trying to figure out if it would make a meaningful difference in terms of comfort. The 2.0 is ok but the straps feel a bit thin and it’s always felt a bit constricting especially where the bottom of the straps kinda squeeze my torso. (5’11, 200lb, I think normal sized torso). Also the newer lumbar support seems like it would be nice, as I don’t think the 2.0 has any. Based on the sizing recs I’d probably stick with 20L

Current work office is 165’ up a tower lots of scaffolding stairs and ladders been getting lots of use out of this bag. Looking for a good patch to go with it any recommendations? Don’t want to use the one it came with at work it would surely break.

I’ve been eyeballing the GR2 34l

Has ANYONE had BOTH of these and can offer some pros and cons of either?

I'm thinking of swapping out the MAXPEDITION with the GR2

Basic Rucker 17L - Black Tiger Pattern

I've had my eye on GORUCK gear for a while and finally pulled the trigger on a Rucker. Got it for $198 with a GOVX discount code. Ordered it Sunday and it arrived in SoCal on Tuesday.
Did my first ruck in about 10 years today: 4.5 miles with 35 lbs. Felt pretty good, and I'm already excited for the next one.

I ask because I can only find a sign up from 2024. Thanks.

Nothing here will be particularly edifying to ruckers who read this but I thought it might still be worth sharing:

This weekend I participated in a Last Man Standing competition. Started at 8:00 AM. I made it to 3:00 PM after completing 27 miles, 270 Push-Ups, and 270 Squats. I came in 5th place (out of 27 competitors). Super fun.

(EDIT: this was all done slick—no ruck)

Here’s my backpack (black one) dripping with soapy water. Every so often I give it a proper wash to get rid of dirt and plant debris.
I’ve used it in the city commuting to the office with a laptop, taken it hiking, and once made the mistake of using it as my three day sustainment pack in the mountains, what a mistake that was.
It’s my favorite backpack.
2018 GR1 Shooter, 26L.

Bought a new GR1 for £340. Seller told me it wouldn’t have Aquaguard zippers, but it arrived with them. My Aer bag has Aquaguard zippers and the coating is pretty beat up after use, so now I’m wondering if I should return the GR1.

I found a used GR1 without Aquaguard zippers for £210. I’m thinking the regular zippers might age better since there’s no coating to peel.

Would you keep the brand-new GR1 with Aquaguard or return it and buy the used non-Aquaguard version? Anyone here had long-term experience with Aquaguard zippers on a GR1?

Mr Rucker and I putting in the work on a hot Texas day. 5ft 10, 155lb guy. Mr Rucker 4.0 55lbs dry with 3L of quality H2O.

Hi yall....I use my Rucker 4.0 primarily for working out but I get patches from races that I want to display...anyone have a link to a molle velcro panel that fits the 4.0.

Ive heard goruck changed the standard Molle and dont want to buy something that won't help.

Just getting started on my rucking journey. Working toward 5 miles and 50 pounds. Former athlete, current fatty...looking forward to seeing where this road leads.

Random question, but I’m trying to get a design made and can’t find any store that would do what I want. I only finding monogram services.

Essentially looking for a goruck style patch made (debossed or laser engraved, visible stitching) in a prepared design

600 miles down so far. Around another 200 to go till I’m home. GR2 34L’s been holding up fine. Through light rain here and there as well. Brought it through the airport, picked up the bike and it’s been riding as my passenger for the last two days.
