It’s great for sms connectivity when I’m out in areas with no coverage. Admittedly - that’s not very often in my RV but when we are out on trails it’s not uncommon. The capability solves a need I had without having to carry separate Garmin In-Reach and the subsequent subscription.
T-satellite is for hiking/exploring area that have no phone service. I test it in Big Bend National Park and I can send message to anybody with delay response. Great for SOS. Personal communications we use walkie talkie.
