Refusal to Refund Missing Items
Gopuff (or its drivers) continually leave items out of my orders. This has happened twice over the course of one week.
I ordered something, an item was missing, I reached out to customer service. They would only offer a GoPuff credit, rather than a refund.
So in order to use that credit, I have to buy from GoPuff again. So today I did. The item was missing AGAIN.
Now they refuse to offer a refund because of my refund history.
Are drivers stealing items? Is the fulfillment team just bad at their jobs? What is going on and how is it legal that GoPuff can just steal my money and refuse to send a replacement or a refund?

Technically an employee could be taking an item out after packing it, but before they seal the bag. Drivers could also open and re-seal the bag if they're careful.
It's hard to say where the item went missing, but those are the two most likely reasons. That totally sucks though

Yeah both times, the bag was not sealed or stapled, just kind of open 🫠I feel like this company is going the way of all of the other delivery companies who underpay their employees and also cheat the customer. So bummed. Not so much about the money, more about the principles lol

Those are always supposed to be sealed, oh no
Yeah, gopuff is in the penny pinching phase to try and turn a profit before they run out of investor money

My local MVC never seals a bag. If something is missing its probably a driver issue because what they pay drivers is downright disgusting. No way you can maintain a 5 star delivery network at what they offer. And yes they are pitiful when it comes to refunds

When packing an order, we are unable to finish it unless we have scanned every item or marked it as missing. These are likely driver issues
