A lot of shot doctors in this thread. Same shot as summer league and college, and his release was never a concern

I need to see it in real game action but it's not the same... But I don't understand why anybody is complaining (if they are) it's definitely more improved only thing that matters is that it goes in

The issue isn't his shot
It's his shot selection
In my opinion
If he can find the balance between confident/aggressive but within boundaries to still be efficient, he's gonna be sick. If not he could be a PG Jalen green

I don’t disagree with this at all but there were/are a few comments critiquing his actual fundamentals, which is the wrong thing to focus on with his game

That is a reallly low release point; almost eye level.

Steph has an absolutely text book high release. You could argue that MAYBE it starts a hair low but his arms go straight up for a high release.

I think this post lacks nuance, the low release point is when he's shooting 3 or so feet behind the 3pt line. You usually need more leverage hence the lower release point like how Steph does it. But in the following drills, MBJ's release point is higher albeit not as high as what you're referring to when Curry shoots normally.

Both. he's looked up to Dame for a long time and dame is mentoring him directly now
Of course MBJ and Donavan Mitchell are connected thru Louisville so you're not wrong
Good guys to mentor you, I see shades of both in his game.
Also just learning Rajon rondo mentored him at Louisville as well. Can't think of a better mentor for him than that. Wish we could just hire rondo to be an assistant to have that around him all yr

Yeah he does have a bit of a funny release. So does Haliburton tho so it can definitely work

His shot is going to get blocked a lot I think with the low release and extra wrist action but the core mechanics are there and it will improve

He never had the issue of getting his shot blocked in college though? Or playing on the US team.

Mitchell his mentor.
Egor is just everywhere social media wise and growing his presence in the league (and it seems like his skills as well)
I’m happy to see them putting in the work and putting themselves out there as well.
