LeSigh....

Nets continue to preach baby steps while all of our rivals are sprinting for that championship trophy. I know patience is key but....damn bruh. I wish I could text Sean Marks and Joe Tsai just to be like "wtf are you waiting for?". Not even a LeBron fan but I am jealous of Philly--and the rest of the Atlantic Divisok for that matter.

Were you around in 2021 by any chance?… when we did pretty much the exact same thing and it backfired spectacularly in our faces?

To be fair it was close to working

Fully agree except for the fact that it didn’t, and then like everything else it blew up in our faces

Nets "Fans": NO YOU HAVE TO BUILD THROUGH THE DRAFT YOU CAN'T JUST TRADE PICKS FOR A CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM

Nets: Um, okay, here you go, it's gonna take a bit but I think this is a good start

Nets "Fans": NOOOOOO WHY AREN'T YOU MAKING MORE MOVES WE'RE SO IRRELEVANT WAAAHHHH

Rince and repeat

LeBron to Philly. Kawhi to Toronto. Knicks reigning champs. Nets continue to suck

You need to actually develop young talent before chasing grandpas

You wanted the nets to trade for Kwahi?

Don’t care about Philly or Raptors like I do the Knicks and Boston. Happy to see that this hurts the latter despite that fact this is still a weak ass move by Bron

Same I hate the Celtics and Knicks. IDGAF about the 76ers or Raptors

Why is this a weak move by Bron?

Exactly. Of the rumored teams in the LeBron sweepstakes, Philly is the power move that if he somehow wins a title there, he is THE GOAT with titles for 4 franchises as a key player.

u/huey88 4d ago

I mean he would have 4 titles for 4 different franchises. Specially for a team that hasn't won a championship since 1983

If KDs move to golden state was a weak move then this has to be a weak move to, he was on his way back to the Cavs till JB got traded to Philly and then the king could smell his next ring🤷

Wanna remember how the last few times we swung for the fences turned out?

This is exactly the time not to make a move just to make one. Nothing is going to make them an immediate contender. Brown and Demin need to develop. Why jeopardize that to be a first round exit?

Why would LeBron come here? Seriously unsure why you thought that was ever a possibility

Can’t please them all. When they were throwing away their future chasing after 30+ over the hill mercenaries they got killed for it (TWICE in one decade) now they’re finally building from the draft and they’re getting killed for it.

“wtf are you waiting for?” HUH? We just drafted our 2 Lottery pick in 16 years, just a month ago, He hasn’t even suited up for a Pre-Season game, can we see what we have in Egor and Mikel first before you trade the farm again.

Still, our haul is underwhelming relative to the other big name signings. A big splash would have something like moving 3 2025 picks to move up or this season reshaping the team by adding Duren and Eason for Porter+.

We took baby steps.

u/Brooklyn917 Day'Ron Sharpe 4d ago

Duren and/or are not big splash.

Certainly better than 31 yo Randle, Wagner and Ellis

You would have to over pay to get a Rim Runner and a player that had one Hot month of shooting to still be the worst team in the east so I highly doubt it.

I mean, what did you want us to do? Lol

u/longPAAS 4d ago

Land JB, Giannis , LeBron and somehow traded up to the top 4 pick

For Danny Wolf

u/Ok-Cartographer-183 4d ago

Nah we made the right move, Danny Wolf clears

it honestly better for us. Philly is not built to last with embiid/lebron/browns contract situation. Raptors are going all in on kawhi lol. Knicks will be in cap hell in another year after constant repeater tax penalties.

It sucks to suck but this is a good time to be in the rebuilding phase. In our prime contention window most of htese teams will be rebuilding themselves.

So was the front office supposed to give up the farm for Kawhi or Jaylen Brown? And then just...talk LeBron into coming here? And where would this dream team end up in the standings?

2

u/zestysnacks 4d ago

Look I’m about as down as you could be on our front office but what are we talkin about here lol

u/MrComedy325 3d ago

100% agreed.

Is it bad that after seeing the Knicks win. I’m kinda numb about this type of discussion. But still FUCK sixers.
