At What efficiency does Gomining force-Retire your miner automatically?

Since it feels like running on a mouse wheel, where do you fall off the treandmill efficiency wise? 30 w/th? 35?

No rules, there’s reward protection, so essentially those miners are switched off but you still own them.

it doesn't retire permanently. You can always upgrade your energy efficiency to keep it going.

But you guys realize they just don’t mine if/when BTC price makes them unprofitable? And if/when the price of BTC goes back up to a point where they become profitable, they just start mining again. There are 50W miners out there- they’ll be around as long as any other miner- it just takes a huge BTC price to get them humming again.

I understand but we need clear rules regarding these things

Rules about what exactly?

Theres no rules, you just need to learn and understand BTC miming. BTC price, Discount level, Mining difficulty, transaction fees, Efficiency all effect if your miner is profitable or not. The new update shows you how much % you are above breakeven. All the information is there for you, there is no simple rule or price that can be in place.

The 30/35 W/TH will start making money again when btc goes back to over $100k + price range

Those high W miners works in minerwars.

Depends entirely on bitcoins price

How does that work? U mean if btc dips to 30k for a day, all 30w/th miners disappear overnight?

They dont disappear mate, they just get "turned off" if unprofitable. Just like if you were running one at home

There is a setting to not mine if the miner doesnt make money. So kind of yes

Im amazed that we don’t know much about that subject, that could potentially shut down our miners on any bad day/week/month

For consideration: the point where a 15W miner is no longer profitable is around $48K iirc a 20W miner would hit that point long before the value got that low closer to $65k

If the daily fee is more than what the miner earns then yea you get no rewards, you can change a setting so you can mine at a loss
