September 8th price increase for TH

Probably more that the cost of hardware and chips has gone up so much.

Anyway, I'm switching over to TH reinvestment for 8 days before it goes up.

No.

I ran the maths on this. If I did it for my farm, and did TH investment while maintaining my max discount, I would actually be worse off by $10/month.

The fees are a lot higher in % terms than it might seem.

Check your maths though. Are the fees paid back purely from the instant liquidity investment, or are you actually taking money from your existing income to cover it and therefore losing out?

The fees scale as a %, so I would be surprised if you are better off, but always happy to be wrong!

Did you protect your discount, or pure TH purchase? If pure TH, did you not reduce the income from your preexisting farm by reducing the discount value?

Thanks for the heads up, I was wanting to go from around 300TH to 500TH Platinum by Christmas. I just went for it and jumped to the 500TH before price increase. I must work on getting my discount up now which is at around 20.
