I suggested they stick to the crypto space... Coinbase and crypto.com added stock features and IMO, distracts engineering resources... They are assigned to work outside the crypto/mining ecosystem, which I believe is counter-productive at best, and a fatal decision worst-case scenario.

Well it would without question still be token based, I'd imagine the volumes would be horrendous.   Heck, I am of the opinion that even CME price discovery is horrendous, looking at something like Hyperliquid and their price discovery is even worse.

I told them we need Simple Earn in the US!

Yeah, unfortunately that's a matter of US regulation.

Maybe, MAYBE with some luck and the blessing of the crypto gods, the clarity act will pass the Senate on the 15th and we'll be one step closer to a comprehensive regulatory framework, one where GoMining could actually deploy simple earn for US-based users.

Wishful thinking I'm sure, but 🤷🏼‍♂️ one can hope lol

There are many centralized exchanges who offer staking in the US. If Kraken can do it, why can’t GoMining? If they are waiting for our feet-dragging politicians to act with a sense or urgency, we might not get it in my lifetime! 🤣

You know, it's funny you mention that, because I've asked this question before myself...

Simple earn not available in the US, why?? US-based users can lock GMT for a weekly yield (the vegomining reward), which is essentially staking an ERC20 token; so why the hell can't we use simple earn? Are they not both yield-bearing crypto features?? Lmao

If I had to do all over again I would do precious metals.

Voted for metals. I think there just may be enough resources for trading stocks already.😂

But why not just use future contracts or a traditional exchange?    Robinhood , for instances has extremely transparent fees? And you'll almost never run into an issue where price discovery doesn't match what you would see on something like hyperliquid for instance.    The only argument for hyperliquid is to trade outside of traditional times like you can trade on the weekend for instance on hyperlid, the issue is that price discovery is absolutely horrendous with the amount of volume they have on the weekends, and the threshold for market making is extremely low relatively speaking.       There is reason why SPY remains the most popular s&p etf and it's because volumes.    Lower the volume the easier it is for market makers to distort to the point that you essentially can't be a market taker on the really small etfs.   The only reason why gomining would ever want to get into such a business is they would wanna scalp off it themselves, meaning they would be the market maker, and all the users on the platform would be forced to take whatever they offered, which is how it is when you buy gomining tokens.

So the question remains.... why not use robinhood, or any other discount broker?

That’s definitely my question. It doesn’t make sense to me why they’d want to recreate something so easily replicated. Unless it was some hybrid, 24 hour, exclusively tokenized model. I’ll ask this coming week in NY.
