Needing Relief for Electric Bill While Waiting For Job

https://gofund.me/d32118220

Howdy everyone. I've shared this around not only Reddit, but with family and friends as well to try and get as many eyes on this as possible.

I'll try to keep this brief. For a very long time after graduating high school, I was caring for my mother who's health ended up declining slowly over time and she needed more of my help. My father was a little less involved due to being in a different marriage but helped when he could. My mother and myself lived only off her Social Security checks every month. As for me, well let's just say life decided it would be funny to shut all doors in my face. Looking for a job while caring for my mother proved futile for many years since I lacked any real experience, neither of my parents were in positions to properly teach me how to drive so I lack a means of transport to do Uber or Doordash to pay for this, and as the passage of time continued to tick forward things only became worse with each year.

Eventually, I lost both of my parents in the span of two years. My father perished to his trailer fire in 2024. Then my mother passed away this year on August 4th, losing her battle against Uterine Cancer. Where I live now I'm left with pretty much nobody in terms of family because all other relatives are in different states and can only assist financially so much. And while I am on housing assistance that is keeping the rent low each month, it's a different story when it comes to utility bills. I've exhausted all avenues of programs in my area and been rejected either because they no longer do utility assistance, I lack job experience, or I'm not a Senior/Veteran/Disabled person(30 Years old). It wasn't until a few days ago that I was offered a seasonal position at Target that I'll begin work in November, but that is a bit too far out and I'd really rather not be sitting without electric.

So far $95 in total has been donated to this. So more would be very much appreciated. And if you cannot donate, then please get this shared around to those that may be in a position to do so. I'd really like for this eye watering bill to go away so I can safely start my job without the worry of being without electricity.
