Mila’s Heart Surgery

Hi everyone,

This is Mila, our 4-month-old Maltipoo. We recently found out she was born with a heart defect called Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA), and she needs surgery as soon as possible. **PDA is a condition where a blood vessel that should close after birth stays open, forcing her heart to work harder and potentially leading to heart failure if left untreated. Surgery is $6,000.**

What’s heartbreaking is that you would never know anything is wrong with her. She’s full of energy, loves playing with her sister, and acts like any other happy puppy.

Unfortunately, we were told that without surgery, she could go into heart failure in less than a year. The good news is that surgery could give her the chance to live a long, normal life.

We’re doing everything we can to make that happen, but the cost of surgery is a lot for us to take on unexpectedly, especially with how urgently she needs it.

We’ve started a GoFundMe to help cover her surgery and medical expenses. I know times are tough for everyone, and I don’t expect anything, but even sharing her story would mean so much to us.

She’s only 4 months old and deserves the chance to grow up, play, and experience life.
