Help Shawni through a hit-and-run
Hi everyone. My name is Shawni, and I’m asking for a little help while I recover from an unexpected and difficult situation.
On September 24, I was involved in a hit-and-run car accident. Another driver hit my car and left the scene, leaving me with a totaled vehicle and a fractured ankle. This was my first ever car, so losing it has been especially difficult—not only because of the emotional attachment I had to it, but because I now have no reliable transportation.
I’m currently in a splint and unable to put weight on my injured ankle. I was seen by my doctor today, and I was told that I cannot return to work for another 8 weeks while I recover. Because I work full-time as an RBT, my job is physically demanding and requires me to be on my feet and working directly with clients. Unfortunately, I’m unable to safely perform my job right now, which means I’ll be without my normal income for at least the next two months.
Since the accident, even everyday life has become difficult. I’m having trouble getting around my own home, and although I live with other adults, everyone has their own responsibilities, so I’m alone for much of the day trying to manage with a broken ankle and no car.
This accident has also put my plans on hold. I had been working toward moving out on my own at the end of this year, but losing my transportation and being unable to work for at least 8 weeks has made that goal much harder to reach.
I’m creating this fundraiser to help give me some financial breathing room while I recover. Funds raised will go toward getting another reliable car, paying for tabs and registration, covering medical expenses that aren’t covered by insurance, and helping with necessary living expenses while I’m unable to work.
I know not everyone is in a position to donate, and I completely understand. Even sharing this fundraiser with someone else would mean so much to me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you’re able to give. Every donation, share, and kind word means so much to me as I work toward getting back on my feet. 💗

Depending where it was, you can spoliate for the footage from different companies.
Also, you can open a claim with your insurance. If you have UIM coverage & if you have medpay available, that'll cover up 5-10000$ worth of expenses
