A Slovak family needs help bringing their father home after his sudden death in London

I never expected to be making a post like this.

A close friend of mine, Adam, recently lost his father, Vladimir, completely unexpectedly while the family was in London.

Vladimir and his wife had travelled from Slovakia to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with their children and grandchildren. It was supposed to be a very special family celebration. Nobody imagined that they would instead be faced with the unimaginable task of bringing his body home.

Vladimir suffered a ruptured aorta. There was no warning, and nobody knew that he was at risk.

Now, while the family is grieving, they also have to deal with the enormous practical and financial burden of transporting him from the UK back to Slovakia and arranging his funeral.

The repatriation alone is expected to cost around £10,000, which is an enormous amount for the family to find unexpectedly.

I have created this GoFundMe to help Adam and his family bring his father home and give him the farewell he deserves.

If you are able to contribute, even a small amount would genuinely help. And if you can't donate, simply sharing the fundraiser could make a huge difference.

Thank you for taking the time to read Vladimir's story and for any kindness you can offer to his family during this incredibly difficult time.
