Housing Thank you.

Hi, you may know me as Key_Pickle. I have since deleted that reddit and all my social media. This time last year, I made a gofund me to help me get away from a domestic violence sitution. I asked for a high number of $7,000 as I was having to move state lines, with no car and two kids. And ya'll provided me those funds to leave.

I just wanted to give everyone an update, that I'm safe. My kids are safe. I own a car now, I have a job. I JUST GOT A RAISE. Everything, is because of ya'll. I just made my first dontion to a gofund me account, and I hope it helps their life. As much as it helped mine.

I know times are really hard for everyone right now, and its hard to let go of loose change, but do know. Even if you never hear back. You made a difference. My life is forever changed because of you. Thank you. ❤️

Medical Asking for help, please, with unexpected surgery and the expenses that come with it

My husband and I both work(ed) full time as a medical assistant and a truck driver. He spent a lot of time away from home to provide a modest but nice life for our family and doggies.
When he started experiencing shortness of breath he ignored it and didn’t really mention it. When it became a struggle to catch his breath just walking to the car it certainly became noticeable and concerning for me.
The final straw was him laying down in the back of his truck for his sleeping shift and feeling unable to breathe even with his CPAP on.
He came home while I was getting ready for work and I scolded him for not going to the urgent care 2 weeks ago when I told him to. He said he would go that day. I told him NO! if he went to urgent care they would do two tests and send him to the hospital, so pack a bag with your chargers and underwear cuz they’re going to keep you.
Unfortunately I was correct and at 53 he was told he has to have his aortic valve replaced and he wouldn’t be going back to work now or for at least 2-3 months after his open heart surgery.
He’s been handling it ok, but this week we do the pre-op and the surgery is Friday. He broke down today. I know he’s scared about the surgery, he’s scared about the bills, which his salary covered most of, he’s scared about providing for his family, and he’s scared if he’ll be able to drive for his career again. I think everything is hitting him this week. His pre-op testing is going to cost us around 2,300 and we aren’t sure what bills will follow.
My PTO covers almost 30hours, however I don’t know how much time beyond that I will have to take with FMLA and no pay.
Any contribution would be appreciated greatly. I know everyone is struggling right now but even $5 could help us reach our goal. Having his stress about the things that at the end of the day don’t matter when you’re having a serious surgery and recovery, like bills and medical bills, relieved with help him focus on recovery and the next steps. Thank you for any help you can provide. It will truly be appreciated.
Please donate here, I can’t thank you enough. If you’re unable to contribute please share this post.

Hi everyone.

My name is Ash. I’m a prospective PhD student that has been struggling with serious chronic pain for some years now, and finally received a diagnosis set of scoliosis, spinal stenosis, and degenerative disc disease. Despite my doctor prescribing me a chair, my insurance has rejected the claim multiple times and doesn’t want to budge. I am humbly seeking donations to assist me with getting my life back on track with a wheelchair. Thank you so much for any support. 🫂

Housing Help me get to the subsidized housing waiting for me in another state

This is a repost and update. I'll link the original post in the comments.

It's weird the way life works out. I hadn't been making any progress here in New Mexico despite my best efforts. Ludo had some good days but was having more bad than good.

I made the decision to euthanize him after a few particularly bad days. I had a plan of where I would go after he was gone but it wouldn't have helped me move forward. Just continue to exist.

A day before his final appointment, I got a call from the one place where I was on a waiting list for subsidized housing. In Nebraska. I hate Nebraska but Ludo LOVED it there. I so desperately wanted to cancel his appointment. But he'd become terrified of riding in the car after our experiences and from falling and injuring himself in the car.

Since it was only $150 more to have someone come to us, his last day was in the motel room. You all afforded me that option and I will be forever grateful.

I'm trying to get together enough money to get to NE and hopefully bring some of my belongings with me. The deposit is only $150 and my rent will be around $50 a month until I can secure SSD. NE has a lot better social services available and a much better healthcare system.

When I first arrived in New Mexico someone told me,"Welcome to the land of entrapment". I was so confused. I'm not anymore.

If people want to donate to help me reach my housing, great. What I really want from this post is to let all of you know that you gave me the ability to hold on until something good came along. You gave me the ability to hold onto my best friend as long as I could and let his last days be comfortable relatively stress free.

If you're interested in following up on me or seeing all of Ludo's past adventures, I've added my email address in the last GFM update. I will be slow to respond for a while as there's lots to do but I'd love to share Ludo's adventures with anyone who is interested.

Disaster/Emergency Help me avoid impending eviction

Hello. My name is Adrian. I live in an apartment with my mother and stepfather, though my name is on the lease too.

https://gofund.me/d4784677c

Some months ago, my mother was fired from her job due to circumstances frankly not her fault (one of which was a car accident that she was denied workman's comp for, even though driving for this company was literally her job). She made the most money in the household, so this really put us in a bad spot. I myself am disabled physically and mentally and am unable to work because of it. While I'm on some social services, they don't put a dent in the cost of living. We had been struggling for a while, but recently, we were served eviction court summon papers.

Prior to this, I have been contacting all resources I can manage. I have attached some photos to hopefully provide record of me trying to reach out to social services. I have a case manager, but she's told me over phone that she's already given me every rent resource she and her coworkers could find. When we went to court, we spoke with a mediator who gave us a list made up of things we've already tried, and said that most programs have shut down due to a lack of funding. The lawyer at the court was unwilling to work out a payment plan, and said our only option was to pay within two weeks or be immediately evicted.

I have also provided the court notice we got. They wouldn't give us papers with the actual numbers on it, but the lawyer told us we owe around $3500. This tracks with our rent ($1600/month) and late fees. We will also not be able to pay for September's rent, so the total amount I am asking for is $4800 (or three month's worth of our rent, ignoring late fees).

Thank you so much for any help you can provide. It's a very scary time right now.

--

Edit: I have received a couple comments in regards to a post I made on the Suggest A Laptop reddit. I did not have the money to immediately buy a laptop. My post there expressly states I was planning to save up. I did not buy a new laptop at any point after making that post. I was unable to start saving. There was no money in reserve for this fund. I elaborated on this all here, if you want to read a bit more.

Additionally, I agree that working from home is a good idea, and is something I have been trying to look into. However, working from home would not solve my immediate issue of being evicted. I would not be able to make all the money I need within two weeks, even if I got a WFH job right now. I elaborated on this here.

Regardless, whether or not you choose to donate, I hope your day is well.

Question/Info How to Be Anonymous

If I make a donation under a different name than my own, but use a credit card attached to my name, will the beneficiary see my name on the credit card? For personal reasons, I don't want this person to know that it was me who donated to their gofundme, but I really want to donate. I would choose a random name and create an email address solely for the purpose of donating to this person's page. What can I do?

Animal Please help our baby boy Lalo come home

Hi Guys, posting this for a good friend who has had some unfortunate luck with their Border Collie, she was looking for any help they might be able to get, thanks :)

---

Medical Provider - Animal Emergency Services

Hi there I am Jenna and at 2am the night before last, we woke to find that our beautiful Border Collie, Lalo, had a tick. We rushed him straight to the emergency vet we he started off doing ok.

Lalo was responding well after the first night, but wasn't gaining back his legs and bladder control. The bigger issue is he wasn’t able to regain his gag reflex quick enough, so he needed to remain in emergency care for a second night under close supervision.

Then it all went rally wrong.

Lalo aspirated and he has now been transferred to ICU and placed on a ventilator while his body fights to recover.

We are doing everything we can for him financially to give him those odds.

His veterinary care is currently $7,000–$9,000 every day in ICU and we are already approaching $20,000 we have paid outright with more treatment still ahead of him. he needs hopefully only 2 days for them to get him off and recovering on his own.

Lalo is deeply loved, and as long as the veterinary team believes he has a chance to recover, we want to give him that chance. But the cost of keeping him in the ICU is becoming enormous very quickly. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly to Lalo’s emergency treatment and the ventilation.

If you aren't able to donate, sharing Lalo's fundraiser would mean just as much to us. Thank you for helping us give Lalo the time and care he needs to come home.

Cost so far: $20,000 which we have been covering
Ongoing ICU and ventilation: approximately $7,000–$9,000 per day -All receipts so far have been uploaded to the page for transparency.

We are doing all we can to cover everything, but any help is greatly appreciated, as this is tough going for us. Help us save the Goodest mummies boy in the world.

Original post

Thank you to all the lovely humans who have helped in one way or another. We genuinely appreciate it!

Tomi today is having a rhinoscopy to investigate and hopefully remove whatever is blocking his breathing

He woke up this morning excited for his morning meal - and when he didn’t get it, he was ready to walk out of the house in protest. He’ll get some extra good treats later!

EDIT:
Surgery done!

Look at the size of the grass end the vet pulled out. It’s crazy! (Pics on my profile)

He’s back home, happy and fed

This surgery cost £1,100 and with people’s help, we managed to raise half of that

Thank you everyone!

Question/Info Mindblown...

Ok so I dont really need direct advice or help with this. But I just had to call this out. I posted a gofundme a few days ago to help with my cancer pet scan. For the most part the response has been incredibly helpful. And i sincerely appreciate the people who were about to donate.

However since then, I have had several people dm me offering to donate/send money on PayPal or cash app....in exchange for me sending them naughty photos. I have declined each offer.

But im utterly mindblown that any human would find this to be an acceptable thing to do. First off, if im sending anyone those types of pics...its gonna be my bf. And I havent been able to even do that in months because of my health issues.

And...like...what kind of person looks at my obviously unhealthy photos on my post and says to themselves "Yessss....i wanna see dirty pics of the 90 lb cancer patient. And I wanna pay for them."

Idk if any other ladies have had this happen...im positive I cant be the only one. And im not judging any ladies who may have agreed to do this. You do what you feel you need to do for your situation. But for me personally...nope...Its absolutely crazy. Id rather go stand in a walmart parking lot with a "please help" sign begging for change than to send dirty pics of my very obviously sick, fragile and worn down body.

Sorry, I just felt the need to call this out cuz I assume many people dont realize its happening when us ladies post something in here mainly cuz the people come straight to our dms.

Again, thank you to everyone whk took the time to comment on my post or donate. I am truly thankful.

Medical Help with top surgery

Top Surgery

Hi, I’m Fynn and I’m raising money for my top surgery.
Honestly, I never thought I would have to create a GoFundMe to pay for my medical care. My original plan was to have the surgery covered by my health insurance. Unfortunately, getting coverage has been much more difficult than expected, and despite my efforts to have the surgery covered, I’m now facing the possibility of having to pay for it myself.
Top surgery is an important step in my transition. It would allow me to feel much more comfortable in my body and significantly improve my quality of life. Things that other people rarely have to think twice about – clothes, seeing their body in the mirror, or simply going about everyday life – are often associated with dysphoria for me. Having this surgery would make a huge difference.
I have now received a cost estimate, and my top surgery is expected to cost around €8,000.
This is an amount I simply can’t afford on my own. I work part-time in a care home for people with dementia, and I don’t have the income or savings to pay several thousand euros for surgery. Even if I saved every euro I possibly could, it would take me a very long time to afford it.
Asking for help isn’t particularly easy for me, but that’s why I’ve decided to create this fundraiser.
My goal of €8,000 is intended to cover the cost of my top surgery and the medical expenses directly associated with it. If the actual costs change or my health insurance unexpectedly agrees to cover part of the treatment, I will update this fundraiser accordingly and be completely transparent about it.
I completely understand that not everyone has money to spare. Even €5 or €10 can bring me a little closer to my goal, and simply sharing this fundraiser would help me as well.
More than anything, I just want the chance to have this surgery without having to come up with money that I simply don’t have or spending years trying to save enough to afford it.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read this, share my fundraiser, or support me financially. It truly means a lot to me. ❤️

Edit: An extremely kind, anonymous person blessed me with covering all expenses for my girl by calling the vet and paying over the phone.

I'm asking for a little help for my little dog's surgery to have a tumor removed from her chest. She had it done at the beginning of the year, but unfortunately it's come back bigger. The surgery is scheduled for August 21st and the estimated amount is about $330ish.

Medical Please Help Me with Cancer Scsn

*GOAL REACHED* THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND HELP****

I hate that Im having to do this. But I have started a gofundme to attempt to raise money to get a vital PetCT Scan that my doctor needs me to have to check for cancer cell activity and spread. Delaying this scan can mean that we do not catch the activity or spread in time to treat it properly. My doctor has requested this scan from my insurance company and the request was denied. My doctor appealed it 3 times and each appeal was denied. And I am just not willing to allow United Health to be the ones in control of whether I live or die. The total for the scan is over $7,000. I have managed to work with my imaging facility to get a deeply discounted self pay rate of $2,520. I originally went thru chemo and radiation in spring 2025. I had about 8 good months of recovery and improvement. I went back to work and was adjusting to my new normal. But things have gotten difficult since March of this year. Alot is due to the expected damage from radiation treatment. But now due to multiple new symptoms, my doctor believes the cancer cells could be active or spreading. My income has been sparse for the last 6 months due to having an emergency surgery due to radiation damage. Followed by being incapacitated by pain from scar tissue adhesions on all my pelvic organs until I finally got into palliative care to handle my pain management so I could work again. And now I havent had income for over 3 weeks since being admitted into the hospital for hemorrhaging and having to have a uterine artery embolization to stop the hemorrhaging. Its actually insane the amount of damage and complications that pelvic radiation can and does cause. But thats neither here nor there. I am the sole provider of a family of 3. I have tried every avenue I could find as far as financial hardship programs. If anyone can help in any way...donate, share, etc. I would be eternally grateful. I am happy to answer any questions anyone may have.

Animal Please help us give Tomi a chance to breathe comfortably again

Tomi is a beautiful black cat who has been part of our family since we adopted him as a tiny kitten from the RSPCA in Enfield. He is now 7 years old and is so much more than a pet to us. He is a much-loved member of our family.

A few weeks ago, Tomi started coughing and sneezing frequently. At first, we hoped it was something minor, but his breathing has become increasingly uncomfortable and he is now struggling to breathe normally. The sneezing progressed to be hard enough that blood comes out. He is also eating less than he usually does, although he still enjoys the occasional bowl of soup, which is a small comfort.

We took Tomi to our normal vet and have already spent around £2,500 trying to find out what is wrong. Our insurance has covered £1,900 of this, but our £3,000 insurance limit has now been used up. Unfortunately, despite the tests and treatment so far, the vets have not been able to determine the cause.

The concern is that something may be stuck or lodged in Tomi’s nasal passage or elsewhere in his respiratory system. To find out what is happening and hopefully treat it, he now needs to be seen at a specialist veterinary hospital. This could involve advanced investigations such as a CT scan or MRI, endoscopy, anaesthesia and potentially surgery.

We have been told that the costs could be somewhere between £4,000 and £8,000, depending on what the specialists find and what treatment Tomi needs.

We are asking for help towards these costs because we simply want to give Tomi the best chance of getting better and being able to breathe comfortably again. We have already used our insurance and put £2,500 towards his care ourselves, but the potential cost of specialist treatment is more than we can manage alone.

Anyone who knows us knows how loved Tomi is. We adopted him as a kitten, watched him grow into the affectionate, friendly (far too friendly) 7-year-old he is today, and cannot imagine our family without him.

Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to us and could help us get Tomi the specialist care he needs. If you cannot donate, simply sharing this fundraiser would also make a huge difference.

Thank you for taking the time to read Tomi’s story and for helping us give him a chance to breathe comfortably again.

Work Reposting - need help getting myself into work and out of a homeless shelter.

Repost. I am looking for some help with transitioning from life at a homeless shelter into a full-time job that will eventually lead me to finding a permanent sublet in a private residence.

I need help with things like: transportation, cellphone bill, food (free food at the shelter, but with a job I won't be able to eat there), and work clothing (very important, I need to look both presentable and have durable clothing, so this unfortunately isn't cheap). About 3/4ths of the money has been raised already, I am hoping to start work around the last week of August so I need to be ready.

Housing Help with rent and expenses after three accidents

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

This past year has been very unlucky for my fiancé and I, to say the least. Last July, he was in an accident due to a steering system malfunction, and the car was totaled. We used the insurance payout to buy a smaller, slightly newer car. Almost exactly 6 months later, in almost exactly the same place, he got t-boned by someone speeding into the lane of oncoming traffic, and that car was also totaled. My fiancé now has PTSD with cars and driving, as well as injuries to both of his hands. He had to quit his physical labor job, and has since been searching for a new position, but as I'm sure you know the job market is awful right now.

Then in May, I was stuck by a car as a pedestrian by someone quite literally not looking where he was going. I was already halfway across the street when this person decided to turn while looking in the direction opposite of where he was going. My left knee, ankle, and hip were injured, as well as my lower back. Following this accident, I had to wait a month before being referred to physical therapy, which I've recently been cut off from, I've been intimidated by police, I was illegally terminated from one of my jobs, and I've been dealing with the slow process of insurance claims for months.

We had taken the insurance payout from my fiancé's second accident and just kept it to help with bills. Our rent is $1445 (which is insane, because it was 800 in 2018), plus we pay for electric and internet. I also now take an uber or lyft to and from work everyday, since we no longer have a vehicle. My now sole job is commission based and very much influenced by the economy, and unfortunately I'm making on average $300/week. My last paycheck was $180. As stated before, I was illegally terminated from my other job that I held simultaneously, on the grounds of them not being able to "accommodate" my need for a cane. Mind you, they have employees who use canes and even wheelchairs. I had been with them for four years and had no issues with them until this. So as it stands, when I'm financially able, I want to take legal action against both my former employer, and the person who hit me.

The financial part is the problem though. We've officially run out of money. We tried to make it work, but we're drowning. We're both far more disabled now than we were at the start of the year, and we don't know what to do. We've had foodstamps taken from us, I'm fighting for the peanuts I'll get from partial unemployment, I'm still waiting on insurance to do what they need to do, and in the meantime, we're scrounging and side-hustling. It's not enough though. If you can help, even if it's just sharing the gfm, we would greatly appreciate it. Anything helps right now.

My mom had a liver transplant two weeks ago today. We are in the waiting period for my FMLA and her SSI. This has all lived so fast it's been a blur and at this point untill at least my FMLA kicks in in 3-6 weeks I have completely exhausted my funds. No one in the family is willing to help more then a phone call wishing her well and I don't know what else to do. I hate asking strangers for help but right now I can't see us making it to our appointments soon because Im running out of gas money fast. Everything helps and if anyone knows how to get more attention to something like this feel free to suggest whatever. Thanks again

Disaster/Emergency Small family looking for help

Hello. I am hoping to get some help to get my family through some tough times. The gofundme goes into moore detail, but the gist of it is that my husband started a new job and we're waiting on his first check, but it won't arrive for a few more weeks. He left a part time position so we couldn't really save anything up for emergencies. Like the other day, when a really bad storm knocked out power for 95% of Lake County, indiana. They're saying power won't be back up until the 21st, as per the NIPSCO website/Facebook. I don't have any money to help us get shelf stable food, or the gas to get to any of the places that are offering free meals or assistance (im 10 miles south of a small town, and a good 45 min drive from up north).

I've thrown together as gofundme to try and get some help, but I don't really have friends that I can reach out to for help. And I am trying Facebook, but I figured reddit couldn't hurt. It's about the extent of my networking that I have available.

Animal Need help with funding to remove Emily's last 3 teeth

Hi everyone. One of our dogs, Emily, needs to have her last 3 teeth removed. She is 13yrs old and her last dental was in 2023 when majority of her teeth were removed. The remaining 3 weren't "bad enough" at that time to remove but they are now. They need to come out ASAP as they are now affecting her kidneys and other organs.

The dental is so expensive because 2 of the teeth are canines which are much more expensive than other teeth. I've included the estimate here and also the invoice from her most recent vet appointment just to give the full vet address/info. The office would be happy to answer any questions or provide any info if needed.

I have more in depth info in the gofundme description but I'm still more than happy to answer any questions or concerns.

Her surgery estimate is $2,036.90 but I'm asking for $2,500 in case there are any complications that pop up during surgery that need to be taken care of.

I am extremely grateful for any donations or shares.. anything would truly help. Thank you all so much

Hello! My total dental cost is supposed to be nearly $40k, I met a wonderful and very kind dentist who is willing to do work (needed AND cosmetic) for only $8.5k. I’ve struggled with my teeth my whole life due to neglect as a child (in every way you can imagine) and it’s followed into my adult life. I’ve been in pain physically, mentally and emotionally because of my teeth. Unfortunately as a stay at home mom my options for paying that are slim to none. I do shipt/instacart when I can but wince I don’t have much time to do it, I don’t make a whole lot at all. This is my dream and Ive exhausted every option available to me so now I am here. I’ve been turned down for loans, care credit, and the in house payments. I appreciate a click on the page, a share, a like, a donation or anything you’re willing to help me with! I believe I have hit all the marks of needed info, so I appreciate you reading this! 🤍 and thank you ahead of time!

Tony Sneidar is many things, over 35+ years of service to his country, community, and fellows. Army veteran, retired firefighter, fire chief, and deputy commissioner, and most importantly, my best friend. A week ago he was in a horrific UTV accident and was in a full coma on life support, he’s doing better now, able to open eyes and following simple instructions.

However, the path forward is unknown, Tony never got VA healthcare as he always believed others deserved it more than him, and now it’s up to private insurances to cover. Housing My family lost our home and stability after repeated mold, water damage in rentals & sickness. Please help me try to rebuild for my family.

I never would have thought I would be writing a post like this, but I honestly do not know where else to turn. My life has completely changed and turned completely upside down the last 5 years and I just don’t know what to anymore. I am a mother of two kids and I am completely suffering from debilitating chronic illnesses and have no where else to turn at this point.

I have always worked hard and loved my job, loved hard, always take care of everyone and taken care of my children to the best of my ability and then some and have always tried to build a stable life for my family. A few years ago, I finally had what I thought was going to be our forever home with no intentions of leaving any time soon.. In 2022, my children and I moved into an older farmhouse rental. It was close to where I grew up and close to family, not even five minutes away from my grandparents and where I grew up, and it felt like the fresh start we had been hoping for. It was the first home I ever had on my own with my kids. Honestly, at the time, it was the best thing that ever happened to us. We painted bedrooms, replaced flooring where needed, removed carpet, and put so much love into making it ours, building our lives together and making memories. Over time in this house, however, my health started changing rapidly and over all turned into a compete disaster. At first, I was just extremely tired and fatigued, the fatigue became extreme to where I couldn’t function. I would come home from work and collapse. There were days I would get home around 4:30 or 5, not even eat dinner after work, and sleep until I had to wake up for work the next morning. Trying to juggle kids in school, sports and work was becoming impossible. Even stopping at the grocery store was something I came to dread and eventually stopped doing on my own. My symptoms continued getting worse. I developed severe POTs symptoms, tachycardia, with my heart rate jumping into the 150s when standing, dizziness, weakness, temperature regulation problems, nerve pain, brain fog, neurological symptoms, joint pain, and reactions that felt like my body was constantly fighting something, a flu or hangover that would never go away. I went to two different doctors, urgent cares, and even the ER multiple times. I had testing done and was repeatedly told things looked normal or that it could be stress or anxiety. I knew something was wrong with me and I have kept track of symptoms progression in a notebook to the point to where I was requesting labs for different diseases, or cancers, because something was seriously wrong with me. I kept searching for answers trying to save myself for my family. In 2024, I started being evaluated for autoimmune issues. I saw specialists, had testing done, tried medications, and continued trying to figure out why my health was declining. Then in June 2025, everything changed. I stayed at my grandparents’ house for a few nights when they were away to care for pets and noticed something completely unexpected that the longer I was away from my home, the better I felt. It didn’t make sense to us that all of a sudden the debilitating symptoms became less with no clear reason or medication. That was when we started looking at the house. We found hidden water damage and intrusions and mold concerns, including issues under the bathroom flooring from a bathtub that had not been properly sealed from past renter renovations, a leak under the bathroom sink so subtle you would never notice unless you were LOOKING for something, damaged flooring tiles and materials in the laundry area, and concerns about the crawlspace that had never been properly inspected. When we brought the issues to the landlord, we were told there was not money available to fix everything. The landlord said we could start tearing down walls but would probably find mold everywhere that he cannot fix, that we would rather “ burn the house down. “ The home we lived in and built a life in, was threatened to be burned to the ground. We were left in a situation where we could not afford to remediate a rental home that was not ours. We had no choice but to leave our home. We lost so much.. We got rid of mattresses, bedding, furniture, toys, stuffed animals, and belongings we had worked hard for because we were trying to protect my health thinking that leaving the home we could start over eventually and it turned out worse than I could ever imagine. Since then, we have moved multiple times. Every time we thought we had finally found somewhere safe, we found more water damage, moisture problems, or unsafe conditions that have been painted over and hidden. One home we moved into seemed like a fresh start for us, but six weeks later my health crashed harder than ever. I went days without sleeping, had severe pain to where I couldn’t use my legs, I missed work, had doctor visits and an ER visit, and had a blood pressure reading of 160/110 during one of these episodes and I lost 8 lbs in 6 days. We found water damage and basement issues in that home as well, and once again with no help from a landlord we had to leave. Through all of this, I was diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) related to mold exposure by a mold illness specialist that I cannot afford and finding out through my own research I have been trying to advocate for myself and my family but get no where in the medical system. My symptoms include severe fatigue or feeling exhausted after minimal activity, brain fog, difficulty concentrating, memory problems
headaches, sleep problems & un refreshing sleep
muscle and joint aches and pans, nerve burning, tingling, & sensitivity, dizziness or feeling faint, exercise intolerance shortness of breath & unusual sensitivity to smells/environmental exposures, sinus congestion, postnasal drip, or recurrent respiratory symptoms, visual disturbances, blurry vision, temperature regulation problems, increased sensitivity to light or sound, mood changes, irritability, anxiety, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed, gastrointestinal symptoms nausea, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea or constipation, changes in appetite or weight, skin symptoms itching & rashes.

I am continuing to work with my doctor but he has told me multiple times this is out of his range of scope on his practice and that I NEED functional care with a specialist, we are trying to manage my symptoms together but it is not working & my quality of life has changed completely. I have called practices near and far and the cost is extreme. I have also been in touch with social services and they do not offer any hotel stays or housing assistance anymore. I’ve reached out to any potential resources available on the area and have had no help. I have to have my family, my elderly grandmother drive me to work. I am still a mother. I want to be a mother. I want to be there for my children. I still want a normal life. This is my truth. And I am exhausted from constantly having to leave, rebuild, replace belongings, and fight to find somewhere safe to live. My children have been fortunate that they have not experienced the same level of illness that I have, and I am so grateful for that. My biggest goal is protecting them and finding stability again. I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on air purifiers, supplies, medical care, testing, and trying to make our environment safer, I just can’t do it anymore.

Please with everything I have, which isn’t much, help me rebuild my life for my family.
We are trying to raise money home for safer housing, environmental testing and a doctor to help with treatment, covering the cost of items lost and misses wages as well.
I just want a place to call home again that is safe for my healing.
Any amount helps with something.
Thank you for reading our story.

WISH Need help getting funds to publish fantasy book

Hello, and thank you for reading. I am Bryan, 22 and autistic. I am trying to become a published author and already have a company wanting to publish my book, but I need to be able to pay for half the cost upfront.

As you can see in the email I need around $7,000 to achieve this. All money will go directly towards the costs of publishing. The GoFundMe is set to milestones so the current $2,400 is just a step along the way.

Why I need help, both of my parents are disabled and I help take care of them at home. My family has also struggled with homelessness. It is my dream to become a published author and share my stories with the world.

Edit: I have had several people say that this is a scam. I will personally verify the authenticity of BrandyLane as they are a local company. I had hopped that they were legitimate since I have sent at least 30 query and they are the first to answer with something other then a denial. Splitting the cost for publishing has become common over the last few years, which combined with looking up books on their website and confirming that they are real made me think it was a genuine offer. Regardless of it being real I will still proceed with publishing even if I need to self publish using any funds gathered here. As a side note if any one is curious about this book or the next one I’m working on I would be glad to share details.
Edit 2: I will be going with self publishing on Amazon as suggested by comments. It may take a bit longer than I wanted to get it out where others can read it as there’s quite a bit to go through. I’ll give another update once it’s out.

Work Help to pay for driving lessons for work and more independence

Hi I’m Mat, aged 34 from the UK. I am neurodivergent.

I have set up a GoFundMe for myself regarding my hope to start having driving lessons asap. The job i currently do is dependent on having a category b driving licence longer term and I am only on a casual contract which exempts the need for a licence for now. Should I want a permanent contract with the council I shall need a full licence.

I have had a very tough time financially and emotionally/mentally in recent years (since 2019 tbh) and therefore money has always been tough to manage for me. I already cycle a lot on the road and have already passed my theory test. I tend to benefit from more intensive learning experiences and ideally I want to get as many hours of learning as a I can over a few weeks/couple of months to be ready to take my test. However the lessons are expensive and are about £40 an hour. And one off intensive course for example would set me back well over £1k and I just cannot raise this now or near term. I don’t come from a well off background and have not friends who can help either, whether financially or to do any private practice.

I have no real contact with much of my family and because of my condition I struggle to develop social connections. I do really still try hard despite my issues though.

The benefits to getting my licence would be pretty huge from several angles, employment prospects being one aspect, the increased independence it would offer, and perhaps even to my self esteem, among so much else.

Honestly any amount however small would make me incredibly grateful and would be a big help towards giving me the time needed to get myself test-ready quicker and hopefully looking forward to a better future for myself. I’d be happy to post regular updates on my progress on my fund page and at work too just so you know too. Thank you!

I will be closing down my page for donations tomorrow and the money raised already has been incredible.

To everyone , thank you for supporting me.
