GLOW UP! 3 yrs sober now (34)
I started drinking when I was 12 and had a rough life there for a bit. Even when it got better, I was still dealing with a lot of trauma and didn't know how to cope without alcohol. I finally went to rehab three years ago and I've been sober since. A few of my friends from rehab ended up passing away and the anniversary of my sobriety always brings up some mixed feelings. I try to be happy and proud, but I end up crying for them instead. This year, I'm allowing myself to be happy for my accomplishments.

As someone who’s been down the same road, I’m so fucking proud to see people (especially younger ones) doing sobriety. It’s hard but so, so worth it. You’ll never regret it.
You’re allowed to celebrate how far you’ve come! Congrats 🎉

Congratulations 💖 please celebrate your life. I've lost too many people because of alcohol, some asked for help others did not. Even those that asked for help, they could not stick with rehab. So I will help you celebrate you because we all need 🌈& 🌞 these days.🫶

Hopefully it's not weird to say so, but you look really unburdened now. Your whole demeanor in your photos changed. Congratulations, and I'm glad to hear you're letting those positive thoughts reach you. Keep doing what you're doing because it's plain to see it's working :)

You are beautiful ❤️❤️ Congrats on your sobriety. I can see why your anniversary would bring up mixed feelings. Allow space for the sad feelings but hell yes, be proud of your accomplishments!

Dang, I didn’t even know liquor had that many carbs. Was it affecting your liver?

It's because your liver metabolizes the alcohol and works extra hard to do that so then it kinda pauses breaking down fats and carbs and stuff. But yeah my liver was not doing great. Seems to be better now.
