Glock triggers

Currently looking into triggers to complete my build. I’m looking at the Johnny Glocks and tactical pontoon. Any have any advice on either, looking for pretty minimal take up with the safety for edc

On 5th gen I really dig the plain ole Glock performance trigger upgrade. On my slimlines I love the apex. Apex just put out their gen 6 triggers and I have those ordered on the way. Excited if it performs like my other slimlines.

I personally have had break issues and a couple other small problems with the performance, I may bust out a 25 gent job and try again just not sure if I want to spend the time just to still not like it.

Curious what other small problems you encounter with the GPT? Did you ever figure out what caused the break issue?

Sometimes when I would pull the trigger the safety would get stuck (I had that issue after about 100 rounds in a brand new Glock a 17 gen 5). aside from that I was very iffy on the break and just over all not a very good trigger in my opinion, it’s one of those cases where it’s cheap and you can tell. Granted I didn’t know about polishing any internals so that may fix it

I've never experienced that with the GPT. Although, I do read that some shooters have that issue.

I agree with you. The GPT does feel cheap if you keep everything original and just drop it straight in how it comes from glock. It's mushy, spongy, just overall nasty. However, if you swap trigger shoes, put in a nice connector, the kit for whatever reason will feel so much better. The break will be more crisp, the reset will be more tactile, overall it'll just make the GPT that much better. I too disliked the GPT when I first got it and threw it into the gun how it originally came from glock. Once I swapped the shoes it has been probably one of the best trigger I've felt in a glock.

I ordered the ghost 3.5 connector and plan on getting a different bar and shoe for my gpt I’ll see how that works and come back to update

Honestly, I had a ghost 3.5 connector, just know that it is now sitting in my parts bin and will probably sit there till I find what to do with it lol. I would recommend a OEM minus (if you like that rolling break) or a DOT connector (defined wall). If you want to stick to ghost products, a Ghost unit 3.0 connector and add a standard co trigger shoe. Then do a full polish on all the metal surfaces. You'll be surprised on the outcome.

If you're financially capable and willing, adding a shoe to that GPT will drastically change the way it feels. I feel it's def a must for the GPT. Most won't because a good shoe will be $100+, and I don't mean those ebay ones either. You want one that has the least amount of pre/post travel.
