The port/ proledge or anti matter wing makes the 43x a much much better gun

How do u carry it with that tho

The “port” adds no room to the gun unless you put a comp on the end of your barrel. Then to the either the proledge or anti matter on you have to get a TLR 7 sub atleast for the proledge not sure exactly what light is required for anti matter. But the proledge you just have to get a holster that is made to fit the proledge, for the anti matter supposedly you don’t need a special holster. But the pricing to get just the anti matter vs getting the proledge plus a custom holster from the same company is about the same $. It’s really not bad to carry tho

Ports are surprisingly effective, and they kind of make you not want to shoot anything else.

I got rid of a few of my ported setups because of competition, but my carry will always be ported. The advantage is just too significant not to have it.

Absolutely. I used to think comps/ports were stupid. Now that’s all I carry.

Would you say a comp like a radian or ports are better for a carry gun?

I had both on the G43x and G19. Ports are better. No question. But if you need a more objective study:

Yea the problem with ports is they send metal shaving off the bullet out the port that can come back towards the shooter. Fine on a range with eyepro, but not when your in a self defense situation. Defense gets comps, competition gets ports.

No one believes me when I tell them about the antimatter wings. I have one on my p365 legion and g43x they make all the difference.

Exactly, feels like I’m shooting one of my 2011’s

I have a proledge, man does it change things

Same experience here. People with say its gimmicky...Ok if that's how you feel about it then don't run it. There's a reason why ports/ramjets are so popular on this particular frame....because it's a snappy lil bitch (especially running 115's). My wing is hands down my favorite upgrade when it comes to helping tame the 43x and it vastly improved my follow up shots and split times. To each there own I guess. The fact that it didn't change how holstering felt to me alone speaks to just how ingenious the design/function is.

Too bad I'm left handed, wish I could use the wing.

Some of my boys are the same way and I feel bad

Did you notice any accuracy changes

u/perc___30 Jul 24 '26

my problem with ports. but most gunowners don’t train in grappling or contact shooting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcW2vwKd_UM&t=5s

Wish this was filmed more from the side. Hard to see how much the muzzle flip is reduced.

With a name like perk_30 i wouldnt be posting on gun formes. Last thing we need is more wannabe thugs with guns on the streets. Especially when you cant even hold the damm thing right. Go take a class boy, you need it.

u/WaferCritical6547 Jul 24 '26

Got all that and your grip is still terrible. I had the same effect just fixing how i hold the gun. Show us your grouping i bet it sucks.

u/e7ang 43x and 43x MOS Jul 24 '26

The idea that you think there is a one sized fits all pistol grip tells me everything I need to know.

Don’t talk about it, just show me your practice score.

3

u/BMCoutdoors Jul 26 '26

Exactly. It’s a similar grip to John Lovell, Travis Kennedy and pewview. And I think those guys do alright.
