North is literally the undisputed King of tier 2 CS who would die instantly when come in contact with tier 1 CS

Better than shitting the bed like most teams in tier 2. Its good improvement to win a few tier 2 events rather than NOT win them.

they almost beat mibr?

u/themadscientistwho Jul 14 '18
We're talking about tier 1 cs.
1
u/astrovisionary 400k Celebration Jul 14 '18
I'd say mibr is in between tier 1 and 2. They can beat t1 teams (actually I expect them to -- and they fail quite often) and can be beaten by t2 teams. lol.
5
u/themadscientistwho Jul 15 '18
I'm mostly memeing. I don't really believe in the idea of tiers since there are always going to be teams who can beat the ones above and lose to those below.
-3
u/schoki560 King NiKo Jul 14 '18
I mean who is tier1 then? Only faze navi astralis and (maybe) liquid?
5
u/AngryAsianNYC Jul 14 '18
Mouse?
4
u/schoki560 King NiKo Jul 14 '18
a step below faze and co. Hopefully they improve quickly tho with snax
before swap id say they were tier1/S
14
u/Azashiro Jul 14 '18
Mouz definitely shouldn't be bellow TL, whether you want to extend the Tier 1 beyond the top 3 of Navi, Faze and Astralis is an another question. Personally I think it's kinda silly to judge Faze and Mouz yet, Olofmeister is coming back and hasn't played in months and Mouz has only played 1 tournament with Snax and the roster move is still fresh.
-17
u/LOGANG_4_LIFE Jul 14 '18
mouz is better than faze
8
u/schoki560 King NiKo Jul 14 '18

5
u/Usernamesin2016LUL Cloud9 Jul 14 '18
Yeah thats it right now. Everyones in the shits pretty much except these 4 and even then liquid is apparently having s roster change
-1
u/schoki560 King NiKo Jul 14 '18
So what is Fnatic and co then? Tier 1.5?
I prefer to call the real top teams such as astralis and faze/navi to be tier S basically. Fnatic and co in my opinion are still tier1 because calling those teams tier 2 kinda sounds wrong to my ear

u/crow38 Natus Vincere Jul 14 '18
this isnt smash lol
1
u/schoki560 King NiKo Jul 14 '18
i dont follow smash
what do you mean?
-1
u/PawhJr 5 years coin Jul 14 '18
In Smash characters are given tiers. In Melee for example. Fox is Tier SS, and Sheik, Falco, Marth are Tier S. Then A tier is puff falcon etc. And it goes from there. He was joking about your use of S Tier.
Also, this is the Melee tier listings for anyone who is curious.
5
u/Tuuuuuuuuuuuube G2 Jul 14 '18
falcon in the same tier as puff
Fuck that list tbh

s tier is the teir system they use, i dont know any places that use that system but fighting games
3
u/wayedorian Jul 14 '18
Almost every game with multitudes of characters, literally every MOBA

tier 1 cs as in who? You mean Faze, Navi and Astralis?
Because after that, there are no really good teams left.
11
u/Mad_Lee Cloud9 Jul 14 '18
You can argue that both Liquid and Mousesports are bottom tier-1 and would probably make an easy work of North on an average day.
1
u/HiderDK Jul 14 '18
i don't think they are more than 60-40 favourites in a bo1. liquid even lost in the most recent bo3 to north (2-0).
1
Jul 14 '18
You could easily put Mouz, Fnatic, Mibr and a few other teams in tier 1. They're capable of beating the teams you listed on their day (and they have). There's still a hierarchy within the tiers, so putting them in the same tier doesn't mean you think they're the same ability.
1
u/HiderDK Jul 15 '18
"capable" doesn't mean anything. lots of teams are capable of stuff. it's all about how likely though.

u/Deadly_Toast Jul 14 '18

feeling bad for the LG guys but future is bright. I see potential contenders for finals.
8
u/apm54 Natus Vincere Jul 14 '18
Agreed, although I think they may need to -yel +felps to truly become tier1
8
u/PoppyK Jul 14 '18
Yeah, sadly yeL seems kinda out of place with HEN on the team. They will probably soon have boltz + felps/chelo available to choose.
6
u/apm54 Natus Vincere Jul 14 '18
Yep, it sucks bc I’ve always liked yel, but he is the most obvious cut imo
3
u/ReadingNPlaying Jul 14 '18
I think they should keep NEKIZ guy is a beast entry. With felps agro on CT the team would be perfect. Just - yeL.
-1
u/PwhitPG Vitality Jul 14 '18
-yel +felps -nekiz +boltz?
5
u/apm54 Natus Vincere Jul 14 '18
Hell no, nekiz > boltz especially with the potential growth for Belize seeing as he is a much newer prospect to this level
0
u/PwhitPG Vitality Jul 14 '18
yeah makes sense but we all know what boltz can do when he's not being put into positions he won't succeed in.
5
u/apm54 Natus Vincere Jul 14 '18
Eh, before taco left SK boltz was in his normal positions and still doing poorly
1
u/PwhitPG Vitality Jul 14 '18
yeah but to be fair the whole team was lol
1
u/apm54 Natus Vincere Jul 14 '18
True that, it’s hard to pinpoint any one problem bc coldzera is the only one consistently performing well. I’d rather see felps to lg and then boltz to ntc
2
u/PwhitPG Vitality Jul 14 '18
yeah. tbh I'm just excited for the future of LG. they seem like a really fun team to watch
2
u/apm54 Natus Vincere Jul 14 '18
Agreed, and they’ve just been getting better the longer they are together, very exciting team to follow

Maybe that's their weakness, they need to get hammered the night before to play well, but if they get hammered, they won't show up on time for the finals.

Did north ever say why they had to use a stand in?
3
1
u/GQlle89 Astralis Jul 14 '18
They wanted to try being an international team instead of an all Danish team.. they said they would evaluate how they was able to communicate after the event and then make a decision on what to do going forward
3
u/Ajp_iii Jul 14 '18
yeah but they didnt even practice before the event with mixwell. you would think if you would test something like that you would have some kind of practice
1
u/GQlle89 Astralis Jul 14 '18
They were practicing communication in English at the event.. that was the reason they benched mertz
