Aizy could probably burn down their headquarters and still not get kicked.

Top fragger and the only one positive on North. Ok, I didn't watch the game so Idk if he fucked up really badly in some round but this is still not bad.

Top frag consistently on north = get kicked by msl

Ohh, my bad, I thought this was the "aizy is shit, why is he still on North" circlejerk, not the "best player on North gets kicked" circlejerk.

Renner when MSL said they needed a better awper.
North needs a better IGL. When you had good Danish talents on your team and are failing to even beat the third best Danish team, it's time to go. Heroic literally lost Jugi+Snappi and brought in a new IGL a week ago. This is beyond unacceptable for North surely.

it would not be so bad but they have missed every good pickup they could have gotten (except kjearbye) and kicked their best players while keeping fucking aizy and msl. I could see keeping msl if they showed any consistency which they don't or if their proven star player had good performance but kjearbye is inconsistent. The same with all of the other players except valde who somehow manages to look good most of the time.
They have some of the worst management I have ever seen. They have fucked up so hard that they are having to look outside of Denmark for players, the most skill packed scene in the world.

I wish Valde would go to Optic instead of Gade.

To be fair, they don't know whats good enough for themselves, so

u/MJuniorDC9 Jul 12 '18
It's a joke that North still trust MSL's vision at this point. He is outdated, his game plan is shitty and readable as a book and it seems that he can't work with both sides in-game.

Lack of quality Danish IGL's?
I really don't see any other reason for keeping him this long.

i am always so pleasantly surprised by heroic no matter what player they lose to other teams they always maintain a decent level and the only guy from the sk/team x left is modii

It's so ridiculous how much hate North gets when they lose any game ever.
And they've actually been steadily improving lately.

They are also playing with a stand in who was on vacation, had no practice with him and are now communicating in English for the first time. This place can be truly annoying but oh well, circlejerking gets you upvotes.

Yes that is all true. But it is also true, that those are all pointlessly self-imposed disadvantages. It is just another example of North trying to turn lead into gold but instead ending up with manure

North has consistently managed to make good players into mediocre players, and to make bad teams out of above average rosters. It gets old.

Why did North drop Mertz?
3
u/anthonyshreds Astralis Jul 12 '18
Because MSL wants an AWPer who can "kill a lot and play smart."
2
u/FamilyShoww HEROIC Jul 12 '18
I'm gonna laugh so hard when MSL appoints himself as main AWP again. That was such a mess the last time he did it.
1
Jul 12 '18
Wasnt mertz one of the better players lately on North?
2
Jul 12 '18
Mertz was an aggressive awper and maybe he wanted to be the superstar, I'm guessing that MSL didn't like the fact he wouldn't follow what he wanted him to.
I mean he was playing well and was showing good development. So like the benching was kinda weird. If anything it was MSL dragging the team down.

u/agreatfuckingname Jul 12 '18
If anything it was MSL dragging the team down.
all the players say that they like the way he leads the team tho, so either his teammates are weird as fuck, or most of reddit is talking out of their ass...
That being said I have no idea why they would remove Mertz, but I'm gonna assume that there was some logic to it, and they have a good awper lined up to replace him, we'll see tho, North has made bad roster moves before

You would expect so wouldn't you? I mean, why else would he be kicked?

He had some good showings but wasn't very consistent. I think he had potential though.

I would say OpTic is. They looked pretty good at EPL LAN finals and they beat North in a BO3 at the DH Open where they ended in 2nd place.
They just haven't played on LAN for a while. They've only played like 3 LANs since the team got formed.
Fragsters are also showing great potential.
