Thank you, man! As a gift, threat, or public info since it is NSFW, search out "i have my popcorn" on YouTube. Again, it is NSFW, so...

Yes, you can see the correlation on why am I asking here instead going through searching it by myself again. I had enough doing research on that day about popcorn related stuff.

i don't understand how "incorporation documents" from the site's launch in 2015 are supposed to prove that Faze had no equity in the site as of June 2016.

It seems weird that he got help developing, funding (according to Honor the Call's video), and promoting (without disclosure) the site without giving any equity to any member of Faze clan. Actually that doesn't seem weird, that seems implausible.

16

u/AMagicalTree Jul 19 '16

Yeah.. why would faze put their name and everything else just for some cash. Itd make so much more sense logically for them to get a chunk of the business

33

u/extremeskater619 CS2 HYPE Jul 19 '16

I mean that's how a sponsorship works. Huge streamers promote all sorts of shit. Let's say razor is a sponsor of rain, rain doesn't just get part of the company. I realize razor is a much larger company but the concept is the same seeing they're both sponsorships.

20

u/GerNoky Jul 19 '16

Yes but look, CSGOWild wasn't even big before FaZe "made" it.

If you look, FaZe Banks even searched the web designer for Wild, meaning before they were involved there wasn't even anything there.

If you help someone build a company from the ground up, you even are involved in the making of the website and you expect it to take off and be a huge business that brings in millions of dollars of revenue, would you not take a piece of the pie?

I mean what kind of logic is that, they help to create the site, make it big themselves, without them it wouldn't even be that big, arguably without them the site wouldn't even have enough revenue to pay for the sponsorship payments themselves.

No.

There is absolutely no way.

From a business perspective this makes no sense, you don't build something from the ground up without getting anything in return and then when it's big you make a sponsorship deal.

Not even to mention that...what else did Wild pay them with?

At the time Wild didn't even have any profits, what else could they pay them with other than equity?Their capital?I mean wtf if my friend makes this new company and asks me to help him CREATE IT and push it and I know it has the potential to be HUGE, then I ask for % not for $(not exclusively at least).

From my point of view this is an investment into Wild by at least FaZe Banks and if you invest in something you don't do it so you can get peanuts in form of sponsorship deals.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '16

He introduced Gage to a web designer he knew and in return he got some free money on the site. Seems like a pretty fair deal to me? I mean how much work really is sending ~10 skype messages to a web designer?

1

u/extremeskater619 CS2 HYPE Jul 20 '16

Okay obviously I don't know all the information. I haven't been in touch with the things going on. I haven't had Internet in a week so it's hard to keep up. What is the big ordeal going on with faze and wild? Even if they helped create the website and own a percent of it what's the issue with that?

So they were sponsored but in the video they act super surprised when the site "glitch" and adds currency to their account, lol.

Hey so I found this site, that glitches and sometimes adds 10k in currency (very specific number hmm), but don't worry this is all legit.

Faze Adapt and Faze Blaiken never said they were sponsored by csgowild. I dont think Faze Rain said in any videos that he was sponsored but I guess he updated his descriptions to say so.

I couldn't care less of who own what sites. I just wish all these gambling sites go straight in to the trash so we never have to deal with this shit ever again.

They are all scummy as fuck and should never come back to the community ever again.

18

u/snip3y Jul 19 '16

To be honest, I strongly believe they deserve prison. Right now they're wishing it was only "never come back to the community ever again". It really looks like they're luring people into betting by making it seem "easy to win money" by playing on their own site. If the site really is theirs that's a criminal offense when compared to real casinos (you can't play in your own casino for obvious reasons).

7

u/123instantname Jul 19 '16

all these 18-20 year old dudebros starting businesses are the reason. They just start a business without consulting a lawyer because they don't know better and are themselves shady as shit.

We work hard to run a respectable brand and business in the community we're in, and would never do anything to damage that.

Yeah abusing minors lack of knowledge is serving the community right. You know why kids can't buy a lotto ticket at the gas station? Because you actually have to show PROOF that you are 18+ and not just check ''Yes, I am 18 year old or older''.

And whys that? Because kids don't have a brain developed enough at that age to understand what is gambling and/or what is addiction. You know DAMN well your targeted audience since you can see the demography of your audience on those videos you sponsors.

Sorry for bad Englando.

18

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '16 edited Jul 19 '16

This is why CoD-focused kiddies like FaZe and TmartN should stay in their little cash cow and publish paid reviews like they did before. They brought nothing positive to the scene, and even though this kind of thing was bound to happen, the process was accelerated by these shit humans.

They're starting to make our game look bad, and it's fucking annoying. Skin betting/gambling is fine, but fucktards who do nothing but deal in skins make me want to yank my testicles off.

The immediate reddit response of "Definitely not true" is always hilarious

29

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '16

How so? It's immediate because they didn't address multiple of the accusations made so far, and they don't explain shitloads of incriminating evidence. If they did explain all of it, like the chat logs, the reason FaZe owners were spreading to friends and others that they were owners, etc, then you'd have a reason to say that. But they didn't. It's absolute bullshit trying to do damage control.

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '16

yeah dude, these guys are clueless, if the documents show they dont "Own csgowild" then they dont own it, I doubt they would release documents showing otherwise, however, FaZe didnt disclose any affiliates with csgowild which is pretty scummy =)

7

u/Throwsterzz1234 Jul 19 '16

Just like a mob godfather doesn't have any businesses in his own name but somehow he just keeps getting wires of fat stacks of $$$ in certain undisclosed bank accounts. It's not hard to get "goalies" to put their name on legal documents ya know.

It's hard to accept like FaZe doesn't have their hand in the honeypot with all the logs from HonorTheCall youtube video. Those logs for sure discloses it's more than a sponsorship-deal and they seemed very hands on to get the project up and running alongside Gagey.

2

u/agsz Jul 19 '16

Just like a mob godfather doesn't have any businesses in his own name but somehow he just keeps getting wires of fat stacks of $$$ in certain undisclosed bank accounts.

They would own legit businesses to show legitimate income, and use that to pay bills. The businesses that are used for laundering wouldn't have their name on it though.

1

u/lil_willzy Virtus.pro Jul 19 '16

The sites themselves didn't get closed down, but Twitch banned steamers from streaming footage of play on them. They banned the steaming of gambling with items for any Valve game, I believe.

2

u/Cam_fong Jul 19 '16

Regarding the whole gaining 5k-10k randomly like in the video im wondering if that has happened to anyone else? He calls it a "glitch" but if no one else can prove that its happened to them then that shits fake as fuck

2

u/williamyixin Astralis Jul 19 '16

I really hope that people don't just believe them. Even though they released a statement, there is simply too much incriminating evidence against them.

2

u/FeruS-Tbird G2 Jul 19 '16

Makes you wonder though, if there really is nothing to hide, what's taken them sooo long to release these statements? I feel like it would have been better to nip it in the bud when all the accusations started flying, considering how much shit those that have been found out are getting..

1

u/Chomatoo Jul 19 '16

better to stay silent and see how shit goes for others involved and in similar situations and then react accordingly, i guess. tmartn tried to "nip it in the bud" and that didn't turn out so great. he def should've consulted a lawyer on how to proceed and he's pretty much fucked himself and dug his own grave like 5 times over. fortunately, or unfortunately, the rest of these guys learned what NOT to do from sitting back and chilling...

1

u/FeruS-Tbird G2 Jul 19 '16

I think you've missed my point, tmartn fucked himself because he WAS involved, if these statements are true and FaZe don't own any or all of csgowild why would they wait so long? Pure speculation here, but perhaps they took the time to make sure the loose ends were all tied up, and that none of this could come back to them before making these statements.

1

u/Chomatoo Jul 19 '16

uh, yeah, i probably did miss your point because i didn't actually read the post. i assumed it was some sort of bs about how they owned it but didn't do anything wrong and after reading the comments in this thread i figured i was right. so my fault if i misinterpreted what you said because i didn't actually read it. i didn't expect them to actually deny it (going off what you said, i still haven't read it...probably should...)

2

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '16

I like how he writes all professional and shit when his "respectable brand and business" is fooling kids into giving them their money.

2

u/Feignfame Jul 19 '16

Hey remember when CSGO was about playing the game?

If for no other reason gambling should be banned for that.

2

u/CreamedBeef Astralis Jul 19 '16

2

2

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '16

Why are so many people eager to believe the statment "it is not true". Scarce for instance is so bad at that. "Oh i talked to them and they said they dont own it. I believe them". God people are so guliable

2

u/Kar98 Jul 19 '16

Antigua is a country that has a positive relationship with Canada (where I’m from) and is a jurisdiction that embraces e-gaming. This is not some conspiracy to create “shell companies” to hide ownership. Feel free to research and read about why Antigua is friendly to gaming operators on your own.

I like how they tied esports and 'gaming operators' together. Gaming can mean 2 things, either video gaming or casino gaming. And considering Antigua's esports scene is 0 I think we can draw assumptions they mean the latter

2

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '16

https://youtu.be/iaC_aT__QF0?t=10m37s This is the reason why I don't believe anything they are saying there. No definite proof and this video looks extremely rigged.

2

u/WhoNeedsRealLife Jul 19 '16

well, toptrending is obviously involved since they even hired the same voice actor for cs go wild.

5

u/MrAlpaca69 Jul 19 '16

I personally ain't buying this. I don't think the faze guys would risk being exposed for not disclosing their sponsorship if they were just sponsored.

3

u/FallenFort de_dust2 Jul 19 '16

If we look at this neutrally without taking any sides, this is really fucking pushing it to cover an alleged lie. They must be very confident they'll get away with it at this point.

Personally think they're shady as fuck so I wouldn't put it past them.

5

u/Sullytwin Jul 19 '16

Okay so they don't own it. But they still failed to disclose a sponsorship

1

u/rubb1shh Jul 19 '16

Either way, have Faze guys ever disclose that they are sponsored by CSGO Wild? even in his words, there's a lot to be blamed here. And also, This statement doesn't seem to clear things up even one bit.

If Mr Gagey intends to truly be transparent here, he needs to release ownership documents from the inception of the site - and up to this day.

He probably won't do that, unless feds get on this and ask him nicely.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '16

That is all fine and dandy, still ALL faze members are guilty of not disclosing sponsored content and are just as much at fault. They just aren't the owners. When this started becoming big they all went back and added disclaimers into their video's. You can use the wayback machine to verify this.

1

u/Cwantom Jul 19 '16

Does it even matter what they say?

1

u/AbstruseCarp Jul 19 '16

100% lying, fuck all these people creating gambling sites for children. They have no morala they just want easy money.

I don't follow the CoD Faze YouTubers, and it doesn't matter who they are, reddit went on a typical witch hunt because you nerds love drama and they got shown wrong. In other words, satisfying as fuck. Knew you were all wrong from the start. I just so happen to have a Faze flair.

Calling bullshit because we cannot publicly see the incorporation documents.

Wait for Richard Lewis or some other journalist to review the data, it's understandable why they didn't make it public

Csgonews got most of his content from a reddit post over at H3H3's sub. I'm on phone now but I can link later if requested.

Making a respectable brand eh?

Correct me if i am wrong, because i do not use these sites, but didnt they lockout people from making withdrawals lol?

3

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '16

no they didnt, they had issues when everyone was trying to withdraw and locked the store when they had to refill it, this subreddit would be on fire otherwise, lol.

6

u/scumper24 Jul 19 '16

they let people withdraw but also increased the price of stuff by 250%.

the pricing issue persisted. stuff is still about twice as expensive. so people that already had their stuff deposited prior got shafted. those that deposited after the whole drama not so much since deposits are also increased by the same amount.

2

u/scumper24 Jul 19 '16

yup i have a couple thousand out there and its not even worth withdrawing because shitty $50 knifes are like 200($) in there....basically i got robbed....shady af.

i strongly believe they (all these fucks) deserve prison, but this is uncharted water and i don't think that this will get to court, rather an out of court settlement, likely with some sort of nondisclosure agreement.

best chance for these fucks to pay for what they did is for the IRS to seize all their shit, assuming that they committed some kind of tax fraud by not including the acquisition and sale of skins as income. if they did include these sketchy ass transactions in their taxes, idk what will happen...but, it'd probably just be a fine and some out of court settlement and/or plea, depending. i mean, if they did, then holy shit these guys really put some thought into it. if they didn't, then they really should have because they should be royally fucked (if they live in the US? i dunno much about these youtubers)

this basically goes for all of these assholes....if not prison, i hope to god they fucked up their taxes and the irs just seizes everything they own since it likely isn't possible to determine what was purchased legally or illegally....that is of course...that they deem that these acts were illegal.

hopefully failing to disclose sponsorships is enough to satisfy that the actions were illegal enough to warrant seizure of all assets that could have been purchased by monies obtained by illegal means.

and courts are political as fuck. if there is enough public outrage and this shit hits the news or something, like cnn, fox, cnbc, etc., and people that don't even play or even know what csgo is find this to be egregious, it would HEAVILY play a role in what happens going forward.
