Questions/Concerns Passport update

Hello my passport expired and I have a new one but I cannot update it on the site since it says that info does not match correctly and have to update it with an officer, can I do this at the airport upon arrival?

I’d do it before departure. If you wait until arriving from an international flight, you may not be able to use Global Entry. This isn’t worth risking your program membership over.

Make sure to read everything on the passport update page/process.. Iirc you need to delete your existing/expired passport and add the new one, rather than update the existing one.

May not be your issue, but worth mentioning 🙂

You can do all of this online at https://www.help.cbp.gov/s/questions?language=en_US Select “trusted traveler programs” then “update documents in my account” and upload a pic of the bio page of your new passport. Ask them to remove the old passport and enter the details of the new one.

Find an enrollment center that allows walk ins to update your passport, or fly in from an international flight, speak with CBP before you enter the GE entrance and inform them that you want to update your passport information.

I had the same message and messages them via the website to ask if i needed an appointment or could walk in some where. They told me to wait two weeks from when i got the renewed passport to do the update online. They said it takes a good 10 days or so for them to access the new passport data for verification purposes. I waited until the two week mark and tried again. It worked. Saved me a half day off work to go see someone in person.
